I guess we need to set up marching order for when we're on the open road, in a 10' wide passage, and in a 5' wide passage.

We also need to set up watch turns for night time.

Francisco is happy to take the lead out in the wilderness or open road, as a ranger should do. He's happy to be towards the fighting front in a 10' and 5' passage, as well, but having a thief in front is commonly acceptable, as well.

It makes him no never mind about when he sleeps, though, as he doesn't have spells to memorize. He would probably prefer one of the first shifts, if it came down to it, though, as he doesn't have any kind of night vision or infravision to speak of. (Ummm... is this party mostly humans? I'll have to go look...)

EDIT: Mostly human, with one half-orc and one elf.

Though he'd like to be in the van, Nunyet would not mind the traditional rearguard position of the cleric.
Better to use that armor class when protecting from rear attack, and better to use the curative powers when not BFAing everything in sight. :)
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Yarl can go wherever
but he is most likely to not go where he is asked to.

Brok would be happiest near/at the rear, as he uses a bow and could get an opportunity to do some flanking/sneaking about. He's willing to come up to scout or team up/back up Kurn Briar on any thief stuff.

Brok would be happy to share the rearguard with the Cleric of Fharlanghn! :D

Hmmm... so then we should ask him to please stick to the back of the group? ;)

HI guys

I am not sure which way to go with this. Yarl could be a dick and curse them out and attack or he could try to bullshit his way into a truce or whatever happens.

What do you guys think? Try to talk and bullshit or smash heads?

Yarl is already working on truce. Course that doesn't preclude a double cross in the middle of negotiations. ;)

I think Yarl is Yarl and you decide. We'll react to it now knowing what we know -- and as we get to know him better in the future, intervene in a tense situation!

Hell, I'm with raven on his one. Yarl is doing good so far. Just go with whatever feels right for his...

For his...

(idiom, sir?)

Yes, his idiom.

Brok is all for garnering as much intel as we can about what's going on in the area and from any source, no matter how incredulous or unlikely. (It would be good to know what they know of the Red Blade and their occupation of the temple)

Of course, he doesn't trust these gnolls any more than he would orcs but will stay his bow attacks whilst Yarl parleys with 'em. That is until the dogmen twitch wrong or attempt anything he considers ill or treacherous.

Watch Rotations

Can anyone remember if we're going with a 3 or 4 shift watch rotation?

Best I can remember, we went with a 3 shift rotation of at least 2 PCs per shift. This was because we did not want to include our npc hirelings in the rotation?

We have 6 PCs and 2(?) npcs, correct?

Guess this one is up to Alethan and Computer +1 really.

Although I imagine Yarl would rather sleep, I think we should avoid the NPC watch rotation for gameplay reasons.

But if everyone else feels strongly the other way I dont mind.

Ok then, looks like we'll be going with a 3 shift rotation.

So, for clarificational purposes, I show the following:

Watch 1: (@ 8pm to 11pm):
- Nunyet
- Veneficus

Watch 2: (@ 11pm to 2am):
- Brok
- Yarl

Watch 3: (@ 2am to 5am):
- Francisco
- Cis

Hirelings: sleeping full night and getting up at end of last shift to help pack up camp

(Note: times might not be exact here but figure it's anywhere from a 3 to 3.5 hour shift on each rotation)
