Kurn is still keeping an eye on the perimeter and the temple as best he can. He thinks "what the hell is all the racket coming from the camp? How loud can bacon BE?"

OOC: Did Kurn ever get to use that dagger he'd found in the combat with the wild boars or with the orcs/humans? If so, should he have some idea if that dagger we picked up in the first encounter was magical?

The boar fight might have been before raven took over the character, so he might not know... Just want to get clarification so we can definitely say yes or no to Kurn having a magical dagger.

I was merely waiting for things to finish up with Cis and the prsioner is all.

Although Brok did hope to have the prisoner sketch a map of the temple in the dirt and perhaps ask the druid to proffer a couple of more detailed questions about Ah Neran and such, he's ready to agree to a plan and move out!

I think the recon is best way to go. We can take our time and plan and use up a day of in game time just so long as we keep posting and make it an active inactive time.

how far is the hole in the north wall and the cloister/temple/graveyard intersection?

I need to know if Veneficus has to move in to the graveyard before casting his sleep spell on them at that location?

Well, with the latest map update, I'd say we all probably need to be near the graveyard. It would provide good cover, allowing us to hide until the patrol is in position, and then let anyone who is ranged make their attack first and then have the others charge in to finish anyone still standing.

Oh, as an added benefit... if the spell DOES happen to put all of them to sleep and has "potency" left over, maybe people inside the tent would be affected before any of us. (i.e. people in the tent would be closer.)

The only thing that needs to be determined with the Sleep spell, onlyme, is how many are affected by it. There is a table in the OSRIC manual under the spell description that indicates this, but I believe it is up to the DM to make the roll, as we don't know the hit dice of the victims.

As an FYI (now that the battle is fixin to start) I will be away from a computer from the 1st-9th. I dont think I will even have cell coverage to check on posts. Maybe, but doubtful.

NPC Veneficus if appropriate. Hopefully by Thursday, we will have some more information, so I can give a few standing orders to cover the week.

ok. Veneficus will refrain from using bow to finish the orc if another round is necessary. He will use it if there are badguys showing up without goodguys near them. If he must melee, he has a trusty longsword... Other than that, he will follow the in crowd of PCs...

No, I think you're good this time, per the DM's comment. Just something to keep in mind for later. Between Veneficus and Francisco playing mumblypeg with arrows and bolts, I don't think we're going into Round 3.

also... i see that veneficus has 10 of 12 hps. Would he have healed one of them back the day before? It seems reading the posts that he pretty much rested as the others interrogated the enchanted guard, and/or scouted. I really don't know.
