Sparrow quickly dispatches of the final kobold, moments before Kassal or Sylvan or anyone else has a chance to parlay with the creature. Without closer examination, the only obvious possessions gained as a result of the victory are the creatures weapons -- two short swords and a short bow with 19 arrows remaining.
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Ciar takes a few minutes to examine the room more closely, looking for signs of disturbed earth on the floor or any rocks or features that appear out of place.

Grim too looks at the walls and floors.

Kassal will check the walls and ceiling and floor to make sure these tunnels and chambers are still safe and then move in.
The wizard will see if he can shine a light along the chamber walls to find any other exits from the place.
Dies the gnome still have the ever bright torch thing or did the baroness ask for it back? If he has it he will light it and hand the torch to someone else.

Sparrow winks at Sylvan and then stares at the floor, looking at footprints again.
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Fulp eyes the bow and arrows and asks aloud.
Can those arrows be of use to anyone? I have tried too many times to shoot one, and would likely shoot one of you rather than the enemy.

The group examines the area more closely, and don't find anything out of the ordinary. Aside from the bodies of the slain creatures, only a few small piles of furs, laid out like nests, are spotted, heaped near the walls of this small, 30-foot by 40-foot cave.
The area appears safe, but there are no other exits except from which you came. Sparrow notices a mixture of tracks entering and exiting the cave area you find yourselves in, but none unexpected or that stand out.
The possessions the Baroness gave the party are not on loan, and are yours to keep.

Perhaps there is another hidden door in that hallway that we missed? This seems like a strange place for a guard room, at the end of the tunnel and all. Sparrow says, as he begins walking back out into the hall, looking at the walls and up at the ceiling.

"Seems like living quarters to me. Piles of bedding on the floor, no weapons on the walls. This would seem to be the spot to sleep. But, there's only one way to find out - let's head down the other hallway and see if there's more of those buggers."
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Oh fabulous. So how does it work exactly. You light it with a normal torch and then it just keeps on burning u too you extinguish it yourself? Love it.
Kassal will check for secret doors before we leave, just incase we miss anything.
He will let the others roam ahead and then follow with the light, after retrieving his daggers of course.
"Yes there must be more of this vermin down here. Be wary. Is anyone injured?."

No, it's more like a continual light spell cast on the end of a stick. So you don't have any control of on or off. But presumably you can cover it when you don't want light and uncover it when you do.Storm11 wrote:Oh fabulous. So how does it work exactly. Ciar uses his sword to move the piles of furs around to make sure nothing is hidden under or within them.

"Seems like living quarters to me." Sylvan says after Sparrow suggests the cave might have served as a guard room. "Piles of bedding on the floor, no weapons on the walls. This would seem to be the spot to sleep. But, there's only one way to find out - let's head down the other hallway and see if there's more of those buggers."
Sparrow begins walking back out into the hall, looking at the walls and up at the ceiling, joing Kassal in a search for any secret doors that may have been missed, but the pair are unable to discover anything and are convinced there's nothing they've overlooked.
Before heeding Sylvan's suggestion and moving to explore the other branch of hallway heading northwest, Ciar, backed by Fulp, uses his sword to move the piles of furs around to make sure nothing is hidden under or within them, and discovers only that kobolds are disgusting creatures.
Convinced there's nothing left to be found, the group returns to the northwest branch and follows it for about 30-feet before it ends in a small 20-foot-by-30-foot opening. In the southwest corner of this opening is a hole in the floor which drops about 5-feet, at the bottom of which is a narrow, 4-foot wide tunnel that heads east.

"Er..." Ciar sighs. "Sure, why not..." He eyes Kassal's daggers warily.
He starts climbing down, then pauses with his head still visible and says, "Don't the rest of you get too comfortable here."

Kassal looks at his dagger sheepishly and then hides it behind his back when he sees Ciar looking at it and reddens slightly.

Sparrow isn't sure if this is a good idea or not.
Dont worry about our little wizard, Ciar. I think he's learned his lesson about that.
The dark skinned man smiles a little to ease the tension. You just watch out for yourself down there.
