X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Kassal smiles and swishes his hand forwards in an "after you" type gesture, his blue robe sleeves wafting around him as he does so
Greys Campaign.
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
"Alright," Ciar whispers, "I'll run into the room with one other person, so we can draw them from the corners. When we get their backs turned, you lot come at them from this side. Who is with me?"
Ciar stows his sling and draws his sword, preparing to run through the proverbial gauntlet.
Once someone else volunteers, he counts to three and runs. If he is able to get a sword thrust in while passing by the kobold, he will.

Fulp will wait on the rush into the room, and will follow along.

Sparrow follows the lead of Ciar and stows his bow. He draws his sword and joins the halfling in his charge into the kobolds trap.
I'll go!
Attack w/ Scimitar [1d20] = 18 Damage [1d8] = 8

Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Sylvan grabs (or tries to grab) Ciar's shirt before he takes off. "You're our best bet for an attack from behind. I'll charge forward instead."
Knowing a spear is less helpful in this case, the young man flips back the hood of his cloak, draws his scimitar and shield and rushes the kobolds, hoping to counterattack with his scimitar.

"Don't worry my friend, I am right behind you. I will take the one to the left."
Grim will follow up and strike the one to the left of the passage :
Battle Axe [1d20] = 5 Damage [1d8+1] = 7+1 = 8

Before he's able to reach the third count, Sylvan grabs his shirt. "You're our best bet for an attack from behind. I'll charge forward instead." The young man flips back the hood of his cloak, draws his scimitar and small wooden shield, and is the first to rush down the short hallway towards the room... where the kobolds are waiting. Just as Sylvan reaches the entrance, the pair of reptilian creatures spring from their hiding positions at the corners of the entrance. The and stab at the druid with their short swords. Sylvan is able to knock the first attack aside with his shield, but the second opens a decent-sized gash in his arm; One of them opens a deep gash in the druid's arm, drawing blood.
Sylvan hacks at the creature that struck him, but can't connect. Sparrow and Grim fight to be second through, with Sparrow edging out the dwarf. The dark-skinned human slices down at the kobold to his right and cuts it down with a deadly strike, allowing his momentum to push his way into the chamber and create an opening for the others behind him to be able to follow.
Actions?
That will be all that can happen this round, but a path is cleared for the rest to enter next round if they'd like.
Rolls:
Initiative: Monsters [1d10] = 6, PCs [1d10] = 7

Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Grasping his deep wound, Sylvan retreats from melee. He drops his shield and scimitar and says some funny words in an unintelligible language.
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Kassal will follow the other so to the chamber slowly, holding the lantern aloft
He will look at the scene before him, getting as good a look at the chamber as the others take out the trash.
"Perhaps capturing one of the next we come to light be wise. We could find out a lot of information about what they are doing here and what they are up to in the quarry," he mentions in passing.
He will draw a dagger incase the one that's left comes his way.

Grim steps in front of the wounded human and swings his axe
Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Ciar will finally enter the room, attacking the remaining kobold.

Fulp follows as planned, but cant seem to find any room to hit the remaining alive kobald.

Kassal will follow the others into the room. If the opportunity arises he will stab the kobold, possibly in the back if given a chance.

Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
The last remaining kobold, seeing it is clearly overmatched, throws down its sword and backs into the corner where it begins cowering.

It is up to the group at this point. If you want the creature killed, you have the rolls so it will happen. If not, what is the plan?

Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
Sparrow knows the mentality of these vermin and still fully anticipates this to be some sort of trap. He looks around intently, hoping to discern and therefore spoil their little surprise.
If it is really only just a few stupid kobolds, he attacks.
Attack w/ Scimitar [1d20] = 17 Damage [1d8] = 7 He really hates kobolds apparently?

^ I think Dave was stating we would have hit and killed him last round already had we won initiative, but he surrendered first. no need to roll another round.

Kassel will step forward and point his dagger at the kobold.
In Goblin he will say "What are you doing here? Where are your pack mates? What do you know of the collapse of the tower and the dead wizard back there?"

Ciar pauses, lowering his sword, "I guess we're talking to this one, then?" He listens to the jibberish Kassal is spouting and assumes he's trying to communicate with the dog-faced creature.
"If he can't speak with it, we can always bring it back to the Baroness Devy. I'm sure she can dig someone up who could."

Re: X. The Witch Tower - Fourth Trip
The wound on Sylvan's arm is completely healed, and now he turns to the kobold, angry. In goblin:
To the others: "That hurt! Let me kill him if he doesn't talk!"
