Are you sure? That seems counter-intuitive...Greene's wisdom is low, so it would seem he should have a less chance of beating it than someone with a higher one... This part has always confused me, anyway...

Just about everything is at the mercy of the dice, I dislike the method for certain things, but if there wasn't some sort of randomness the games we love wouldn't be nearly as fun to play Also to quote the rules:

The attribute check is made by the player rolling a d20 and adding the attribute modifier of one of the character’s six attributes. The attribute used is the one most appropriate to the action that is being attempted. Sometimes the character’s level is added to the die roll too. If the total score exceeds the target number, the character succeeds.

I just realized I never finalized my cash...

I rolled 190dollars based on the book, but you also mentioned each were given 150 for the adventure.
Was the 150 instead of the rolled amount, or in addition?

I also assume the horse/saddle is a freebie for his class, and not part of the costing. If only 150 and it needs to be part of that cost, I am negative. I spent 113.85 on the other items, minus whatever bullets cost.

I like rolling for insight. It worked against me right now, but it also works in our favor at times, allowing our characters to realize things that this player might miss.

Mose can bhy you a drink if you like. But we should get the whole bottle.

FYI: I am leaving town (and won't have access to the internet) from July 11-July 23.

If actions are needed, Mose will stand by the horse (now holding up Maurice), holding it steady. If possible, he will use his pistols to shoot at any bandits focused on himself, the deputy sheriff and the horse.
