["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: The hunt is on!

Seeker walks up the stairs and reaches the door, sparing a glance back and seeing that Zirus has followed him. Seeker takes the chance to speak to the lizard-man companion, "Interesting is it not?" Seekers motions to the house as a whole, "Do you have much knowledge of ghosts, spectres, apparitions? Have you heard of the Demense control?"

Jyrbian WIS(14): [3d6+1] = 11+1 = 12

Gorthak trusts not anything in this place "I sense it too Gort something does not smell right here. It's a trick of the mind and the senses tell me to trust not what we see."

[Zirus - Lizardfolk Aspiring Cleric 0] (MP: 0.5/2) (HP 10/10) (AC: 19)
In play: Chewer's Delight
Actions: Smells for clues

Wisdom Check:
[3d6] = 13+2

(Feel free to grant me an additional bonus for my currently huge tongue!)

Sensing that something may be amiss, Zirus begins flicking his tongue furiously, which is interesting to see since it has grown in size tremendously. "Ssssss-ss-s-s-ss-s-s," he says, exhaling thoughtfully.

"How odd," he says, as he regards the second Minotaur helping himself to the furnishings, "That this-s-s abandoned place is s-s-s-s-suddenly furnished and readied for our presence." He considers further. "Yes-s-s-s," he says, "I agree, Tobias. This place is to my liking also. Once we vacate the s-s-s-spirits, perhaps we can make this our new base of operations. We need to take those down, though," he says, indicating the paintings, "Lizard Folk are much more regal," he says with a wink.

[Formerly known as Tobias – Grimalkin] (HD: 2) (AC: 12)
Actions: Preens himself

Tobias, now firmly planted on the opulent couch, enjoying the new wealth of exquisite comforts, begins preening his new Minotaur fur with his long Minotaur tongue. "This is such a fanciful day I think. What glorious atmospherics this place has. Should we not just stay here from now on? I should like that very much I think." He continues to preen his new fur, completely delighted with himself and the manor thus far.

[Caiden Cross – Human Rouge 0] (HP: 10/10) (AC: 13)
Action: Prepares for action

Caiden, having readied his gear, eyeballs the mostly silent Minotaur and saveage and then runs up behind Zirus. With a whisper he says to no one in paticular, "This place is spooky. What are we going to do?"

[Phlunk Sludge Dipperthong – Gully Dwarf Magic User 2] (SP: 20/20) (HP: 18/18) (AC: 7)
Actions: Tries to ready himself

Phlunk completes his pouch rooting and comes up with two wands of similar make and model. "Oh my, which one is it. I tel'd myself I needs to keep track of these things and I always forgets. What good is a forgetful Magic User anyway? Netheril would chew me up and inside over this. Shame it!" He eyeballs each wand closely then holds one out at arms length, "It must be this one, yes it is." With a tentative smile he puts the second wand away and brandishes the remaining like a a deadly wooden dagger, waving it threateningly at anything that moves, including his own shadow. "Okee-day, I be ready." He looks around the room inspecting the place for a moment before his eye lights on the desk on the east wall. "Oh, what do we have here?" and then heads in that directions to inspect it for interesting artifacts of intelligent nature.

Summary: Let the games begin!

Partially stigmatized by the new surroundings the party gather their bearings and set about discovering the source of the strange goings-ons of the manor. Gort is temporarily repulses by the odd new pleasant smells, finding them somehow unpleasant to his savage olfactory system, and then spots something shiny to examine. The two candelabra’s on the table are made of silver and intricately designed with two winged strange looking fairies, each poking their tongue out at any who would look upon them. Their candles are extremely white, almost opaque, and they seem to burn without melting.

Seeker heads up two flights of stairs before encountering a door. Seeing the bobble-head Zirus following behind he attempts to make small talk. Tobias begins to preen himself, apparently in a state of extreme comfort, even though there are ghosts about the place. Gorthak remains on guard, uncertain and wary about the current rash of magics being performed in his presence. Caiden follows behind Seeker and Zirus, talking to himself in order to steel his courage.

Phlunk on the other hand, too busy getting himself back into adventuring mode after a long stretch of slovenly activities, fumbles with his gear, curses himself, and eventually readies for the task at hand, whatever that may be; he isn’t quite certain at this stage just yet. He heads toward the desk, along with Gort, to inspect it for items of interest. Phlunk arriving first discovers a diary along with several sheets of paper, a quill pen, a vial of ink, and sealing wax.

Zirus completes his inspection of the hallway and its less than regal paintings, responds to the Minotaur Tobias, and starts to follow Seeker up the stairs. As he turns to move something catches his enlarged eyes. One of a men in a canvas oil painting seems to be watching him.

The man’s eyes appear to follow Zirus and widen as he approaches. The face turns angry and horrid. The flesh cracks, rots, and begins to fall from his face.

The figure becomes animated and growls in common, “Be gone you foul wretched beast! You are not welcome in this house. You are not welcome in this world. You do not belong.” The apparition’s teeth chatter as it assumes a smoky amorphous form and streams from the canvas with an ear piercing cry, attacking Zirus with unholy hatred. The other figures in the other paintings cry out in support, lobbing curses at the Lizardman, and shouting, “Down with the beast, down with the beast!” Their cries echo throughout the hallway and main entry.

The top of the map is SOUTH. Everything you see on the map is present in game.

No sign of the kooky Bartholomew Bumblewoodtooth Grumblefoot yet.

What you know so far:
> There are ghosts disrupting daily life on the west side of town.
> The only business you know of on the west side of town is The Belfrey Tower (inn & pub) (owned and operated by a Human - John Tom) (Everyone made a short stay here when they first arrived at Dragons Belch)
> The ghosts may be coming from a place called Griffon Manor which may have been owned my a man named Gunter Weiss who may have married a young lady named Erika and something very bad may have happened there.
> Phlunk believes there is additional information in a local library which he has offered to take the party to.
> Zirus and Tobias believe the Giant Humanoid to be a warrior class of a spacefaring race that comes from the moon.
> Seeker can speak to the Giant Humanoid in some strange language no one has heard before.
> Gunter Weiss was a Wizard toying with rejuvenation and longevity magics
> Phlunk is in fact a magic user under the tutelage of Netheril and may have a drinking problem. But he is very serious about magics.
> Griffin Manor was once owned by Gunter Weiss, a Wizard. It's age is unknown.

Special Weapons in Play
Pills of Devouring: Chewers Delight
Mouth increases in size by 4 times
8 pills total
Duration: 1d4 Turns (1 turn = 10 rounds, 1 round = 1 min)
Damage: 3d6 hp per bite
The Ghost Trapper
This wooden contraption consists of a long shaft, several feet long with a narrow slot running the length of it and a jumble of heavy spider thread-like material protruding from the end. Attached to the other end is a shoulder stock with two dials and a trigger mechanism. A length of the spider thread comes out of the barrel at the stock end and hangs out several feet. One end of the lasso attaches to the character’s waist, sight the incorporeal entity (ghost) along the barrel, and pull the trigger. The lasso shoots out entrapping the entity. A dial on the top of the gun retracts the lasso once the entity has been dealt with and another dial sets the trigger

Range: 50’
Requires and attack roll
Effect: Holds incorporeal entity indefinitely
Secondary Effect: delivers a shock to corporeal entities (living beings) dealing 2d6 points of electrical damage.
The Orc Slayer
The Orc Slayer is a magically hardened Obsidian axe head mounted to a thick Bois D’arc wood shaft with Liana cord. The extremely sharp nature of obsidian, hardened by magic, and coupled with the resilient tenacity of the Bois D’ark wood makes this a formidable weapon in its own right. It has one additional secret though, when used against Orcs it becomes a cleaving weapon of death. Any successful attack against an Orc of equal or lessor level than that of the wielder instantly cleaves the Orc in two. Any attack on an Orc whose level is over that of the wielder does double damage.

Normal Damage: 2d6
The Hammertime Ghostbuster
A massive hammer with a thick beefy dark wooden handle with a massive metallic looking head and all sorts of alien looking scrawls and symbols covering every inch of it. This hammer is feather light and in fact does little to no damage to corporeal entities. The scrawls and symbols glow bright red and orange when a ghost is nearby.

Knocks any incorporeal entity (ghost) senseless for 1d4 rounds.

Tobias leaps up from the luxurious couch as the horrid voices sound off. The bristly hairs on the back of his Minotaur neck stand on end and his nostrils flair. He looks around the room wildly trying to find the source of the ominous voices.

Actions: Stiff as a board

Phlunk initially opens the diary for a detailed inspection. When the voices go off he straightens and stiffens like a board, his eyes go wide, and fearing to turn and look, he sets the diary back down. Turning slowly he inspects the room to see what is so bent on shewing them from the manor. He fears the worst, ghosts, and shivers at the thought, while whispering, "Oh dear. Oooh dear. Oh dear."
