Still reading over the PDF that you sent out in the LFP post so I haven't gotten any character sheet together yet.

So far I'm thinking of going with a Psychic

If you had something in particular in mind, my back story is easily general enough to alter into a group piece. I'd gladly work with you to make a joined background if you'd like.

same for me....right now he would be a military psychic with adventurer background. From valgerd.

I was considering adding a Numenera or Dark Heresy-esque character link. So for example I would assign a trait to each character and you would get to choose which character you apply that to - then when you "resolve" it in character you would get XP. Thoughts?

@Das: My character is an e military as well, gunner for a tank squad. retired to take up merc work because the pay is better and there are fewer "rules". If you wanted to, you could have left the military with me, thus we know eachother. but that would also depend on your reason for leaving the military. If you're out of the soldiering business, then we wouldn't work together, but if you were down to help me set up a merc group, then it would work quite well.

@kmbll: sounds cool, would that be in addition to character goals? or perhaps take the place of one of them?

@Spectreman17 - it'd be in addition to. I'd like for people to have three goals so I can steer towards those but I think interactions with the characters are also important.

Also - I tossed out the idea of including Silent Legions elements in the game. Would people be interested in that? If the two people who have expressed interest want to join then I'd basically split them off in their own ship but it could have an impact on the universe as a whole so I don't want people to be upset if there's a Cthulu-esque presence they weren't anticipating (but I think would be awesome).

I would have left the military so they didnt use and abuse my powers....that's my job. So making a merc group sounds good though my character is more centralized with honing his powers but will need to eat also...so sounds good.

Jenny Body likely feels comraderie with Robert and Kaz, though not really a solider per se--she was a private security contractor on Aud who was chased offworld for working both sides. But she's promised to be loyal to your company, of course

So it's agreed that we all know each other and i guess work together in a small merc operation. the kind that undercuts even the cheapest sanctioned group. but at the cost of working "under the table" A.K.A. not working for a regulated merc group but more of private security with fewer rules on what jobs we'll take.

even partnership splitting deals evenly. Anyone want to fill in the "how we met and decided to stick together" section of this dealio? anything would work really. I think deal gone bad kinda thing. perhaps someone trying to scam us or a mission where we got in way over our heads. that builds good group dynamic of sticking together

Hi everyone,

I went ahead and made my character before checking this thread. Don't think I've overlapped horribly with anyone else concept-wise. There are just two of us Pychics right?

Also, I think my character is IC- ready, maybe, if the GM wants to take a look.

I'm gonna read up on all the other characters to check for any possible connections

Also, I was wondering if it would be possible for Kaz to start the game with mastery of Omen? (At the cost of one permanent psi point of course.) I envision her as a sort of precog-savant (hence the name) with a constant innate 'spidey-sense'.

Edit: maybe I will swap out Teleportation for something else if Das' character has it.
