[Zee - Rogue - lvl 0] {hp: 10/10} {AC: 14}
Actions: I see you now!

Zee, seeing clearly now, yanks his ax from the tail of the writhing mass and focuses on again on the back of the skull.
Drawing his second ax, he makes his attack.

Initiative [1d10] = 7, Attack [1d20] = 6, Hand Axe Damage [1d6] = 2
Initiative [1d10] = 6, Attack [1d20] = 11, Hand Axe Damage [1d6] = 6

Summary: serpiente Tango 3

As the party recovers and gets their bearings Zirtan jumps from the brush screaming "Keel snake! Keel snake!" and shoots a Fireball at the coiling writhing snake in an attempt to assist Zee, completely forgetting that Zee is in fact engaged in hand-to-hand combat with said snake. The yellow flaming ball of fire darts across the small clearing and slams into the snakes body engulfing it and Zee as well as the grass and several newly sprouted trees nearby. Zee manages to dive away from most of the fireball, the snake isn’t so lucky. Writhing and coiling, the snake forgets about anyone nearby and manages to free itself of Zee’s axe, but takes a generous helping of fire damage. Zee is unable to recover his 2nd axe and misses his chance at any kind of attack. The snake, having had his fill of this nightmarish prey quickly flees to the safety of the tall grass. Fen follows it relentlessly trying to blind it.

Fireball Damage Snake [1d6] = 5, Zee [1d6] = 2
Fireball DEX-DC (12): Snake [3d6+2] = 7+2 = 9, Zee [3d6+2] = 12+2 = 14
Stephberg: Please adjust Zee's HP by -1 on your CS and your header.

Brodie attempts to stab the snake as it makes its getaway but misses. Crow centers himself, steadies his aim, and fires an arrow at the parting snake. The feathered shaft sears through the air sticking in the arse of the snake as it passes out of sight.

Mumble and laffy stay well out of the way, remaining wary of the chaotic battle taking place nearby.

The battle comes to an end and the party is left with smoldering grass and trees. The sun will set completely in a matter of minutes

[Zee - Rogue - lvl 0] {hp: 9/10} {AC: 14}
Actions: Whoooooo that's hot!

Zee jumps around, batting himself, making sure he's not on fire.
"Xirtan! that....was....AWESOME! You gotta show me that one again! OH Dormeo DOORMEEEOOOooo"

Zee runs over attempts to have some sort of celebration with Xirtan, but quickly realized he doesn't know if he should high-five, punch in the arm, hug...what do Kobolds do? He ends up stumbling and kinda running in to Xirtan, then awkwardly turns his attention to finding his ax.

[Crow - Human Assassin, lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:13)
Action: Put the fire out?

Crow gives an audible "tsk" towards the fleeing snake, regretting loosing the arrow as he won't be getting it back... He then looks over the fireball'd zone and attempts to put out any fire still lingering around.

Once that is done and everyone has all of their things again he motions for them to keep moving, "Let's keep going for another hour or so, then camp up for the night..."

[Zee - Rogue - lvl 0] {hp: 9/10} {AC: 14}
Actions: B-b-but I'm s-s-scared of the d-d-dark!

"Crow, are you sure you want to keep traveling after dark? The sun is setting, and running off that snake has made a nice little spot here. Lets keep our less 'battle weathered' friends in mind. We should consider bedding down here and getting an early start. I'm good for the first watch."
Zee pulls Fen from his pocket. "Lucida" He whispers.
Fen comes to life floating above the party, filling the space with a warm light out to about 15 feet in all directions, pushing back against the coming dark.
"What do you think? Stay?"

[Crow - Human Assassin, lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:13)
Action: .....Fine.

Crow looks over the group members, mentally debating the wisest choice. He ultiamtely gives Zee a reluctant nod and speaks up, "Change of plans, we set up a perimeter here and camp now. Leaving at first light."

[Zee - Rogue - lvl 0] {hp: 9/10} {AC: 14}
Actions: Setting up camp.

Zee finds a suitable branch, lashing a piece of rope to each side. Placing his foot on the branch, he walks the circle and tamps down the rest of the grass in the circle. He then looks for more branches to set up a thick barrier around the perimeter. "If it won't stop what's coming, it'll at least slow it down and we'll hear it. Come on guys."

Summary: Arrival, or nearly there…

Brodie’s attempt at a parting jab at the departing snake misses so he decides to stick with the party in the clearing.

As the fireworks fade into darkness the party decides whether to make camp or push on for a bit. After a short debate between Zee and Crow they decide to set up camp. Zee sets Fen to light the darkness and stand guard. Mumble crawls out of the darkness into the light and the rest of the party begins their nightly routine.

Nothing of real interest occurs during the night. A few Giant Moon Moth’s, 3’ in diameter, flitter in and out of the camp inspecting Fen’s light occasionally. She ignores them at first but then gradually chases them away one by one as gently as she can. Sometime during the night a Giant Cave Cricket enters camp. Brodie and Laffy, along with Fen’s help, manage to shew it away without incident.

The morning dawns and Crow has the party up promptly at dawn and marching, once again, through the thick prairie now burgeoning with new saplings. The party forces a march due NE toward the intended town where they are to discover the whereabouts of Netheril’s friend, a Wizard. The going is slow and painful. Brambles, thick grasses, and newly sprouted, quickly growing saplings hinder their progress. In spite of these difficulties Crow somehow manages to push the party twelve miles. Amazingly they encounter none of the local wildlife along the way.

The party breaks free of the thick growth and find themselves on a barely visible path running from NNW to ESE. It doesn’t look like there has been any traffic on the path for some time. Laffy flies up to scout their next move and discovers a small village a short distance to the ESE. His report is anything but good however. The village seems to be covered in webs, giant cobwebs.

After a few minutes, as excited pixie reappears in from of the group. "Spiders I think. Big ones. Bet they are in the hole in the ground. Could be bad. No one is around. But then no spiders either. That could be good. I don't know. Maybe we should just leave."

Summary: Spiderzzzzz!

Brodie and Mumble take a sit to rest their tired dogs and wait for Laffy to return with a bit of intel on the village for their visit on the morrow. Zee fiddles around in his pockets and mumbles to himself while and pets Fen.

Crow pushes to set up camp just inside the trees bordering the road. The prairie to the east seems amazingly free of trees, though they still block any view of the village. Whatever caused them to sprout in the first place must not be affecting them this far east.

With less than an hour of light left the party sets up camp and readies the watch. Laffy returns with the ominous news of possible spiders. He doesn’t seem to care for the idea of battling or even encountering spiders and says as much. Brodie doesn’t seem to like the idea either. But they have a mission and it is unlikely that Crow will agree to a retreat at this stage of the investigation.

The night is fairly uneventful, for the most part, with the usual barrage of new giant insect inhabitants. Around 7 am a noise startles Mumble from his sleep. He wakes up just in time to see a 2’ rock-like spider with many dark black eyes of various shapes and sizes crawl out of the brush and make its way toward the sleeping figure of Crow. The current watch, Brodie, catches sight of movement out of the corner of his eye and turns in time to see the spider appear from the undergrowth.

Mumble goes bug eyed then reacts rushing towards Crow to wake him whistling loudly and pointing at the spider. All the while wishing he had something other than a sling for a weapon.
