Ch. 6: One More Time Around
Ch. 6: One More Time Around
Skarlos heads toward the intersection. After he passes through the door, a pit opens under him! Odd—there didn't seem to be a pit when you passed this way before. Fortunately for Skarlos, he avoids falling on any of the poisoned spikes, but he does fall hard on the floor (-5 HP).

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Odilo takes out what looks like a normal rope but it indeed is more than just a rope. "Rope of climbing fetch Skarlos for me." he says to the rope and holds one end of the rope.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
"Whoa - guess we aren't where we thought we were then! My thanks Odilo"
He climbs up the rope.
"So....anyone want to scout? Clearly I'm too clumsy!"

Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
was a rope of climbing
Odilo "Glad to be of service once more. Feeling of use again. I could scout but i think we have more skilled people with us that can do that." then he speaks to the rope again "Rope coil back up. Your deed is done." once it is back coiled up he places it back in his pack.

"here we go round the mulberry bush, mulberry bush, here we go round the mulberry bush on a cold and frosty morning,...", McCloud sings a nursery rhyme of home..

Ae'll scout, the Dwarf speaks up. Ae c'n sommat seen zem pit-trappins. Ae knoz minin'. With that the sturdy Skull-miner stomps forward and begins inspecting masonry. Those present realize this will be a painfully slow process.
Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
Odilo helps Skarlos out of the pit. Urdak begins laboriously inspecting the masonry. He finds nothing of note so far. You all stand on the east side of the pit.

Odilo "Well anyone remember this as I am sure it looks a lot like everything else down here. What direction shall we go in?"

Odilo "Exactly. Er I mean remember any of this area at all. Was anyone ever marking the walls or floors with chalk or anything?"

Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
I'm going to assume from this discussion that no one wants to go back through the forum and piece together the maps I gave you to figure out where you are?
Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
OOC: I think that we need to go north at the intersection to return (via the secret passage) to the pillared hall. By going through the throne we can get back to the Efreet room and to passage where we started. Once there is anyone willing to turn the key twice counterclockwise? Quinn is unable due to a magical effect which makes him unable to think about the key.
Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
McCloud leads down the north passage, checking for further pit traps along the way. He once more dons the crown (illusion room one, don't think he has the other) and holds the scepter,"once more into the breach we go, the valiant 600, theirs' was not to reason why, theirs' was to do or die", quoting some ancient literary text
Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
The Dwarf will volunteer to turn the key once we arrive. He's built to withstand damage, poison, etc.
Re: Ch. 6: One More Time Around
So you're heading west? How are you getting across the pit?

Quinn removes his lute and begins to play.
OOC: Cast Fly on himself and then fly over the pit.

I believe Stirling did that and nothing happened. I think we're going to have to search everywhere for another key!
