Castran will recover the lost spellblades pack. He says a brief prayer to Garl Glittergold to help speed his comrades spirit to the afterworld.

Castran picks up Fendt's pack. Bragar picks up the two maces, bow, and arrow while the gnome shifts into the form of a pegasus. When Castran has completed his transformation into a mighty white horse with wings, Bragar, following the sound of his voice, climbs onto his back. With beats from his powerful wings, Castran lifts the two up and over the castle wall. As you fly away from the spire of Ravenloft, the ground drops away to reveal the town of Barovia a thousand feet below.

The Castran pegasus dives towards the town. Bragar, who can't see the invisible shape-changed illusionist he's riding, tries not to look down. He holds on to Castran's mane with all his strength.

A mere five minutes later, Castran and Bragar land in the town square. Bragar releases his death-grip on Castran's mane.

The square is quiet and deserted. Only a a dim, flickering light peeking between drawn curtains at the Blood on the Vine tavern suggests any sign of life. Rain patters against the cobblestones of the square. The sound of cackling laughter floats down from the castle high above—or is it just the wind and your imagination?

Bragar - I hope we can find army here. I say we bulk up. I will not head back into that castle without a Paladin or two accompanying us.

Bragar I guess I would lock my doors at night if that castle was up there. Lets go to the temple surely there doors will open. Bragar starts walking towards the temple.

Bragar and Castran head north to the dilapidated church. Pushing the doors open, they see that the interior of the church is a shambles. Overturned and broken benches litter the dusty floor. Father Donavich kneels by the altar, praying in a voice that is hoarse and weak.

Castran closes the church doors and tried to secure them, and then moves over to the good father and sits beside him. "may we spend the rest of the night here with your father, we can help keep the darkness at bay,"

When the Polymorph ends does Castran get 1d12 Hps back?

The gnome will encourage the dwarf to help him secure the doors and windows, and to create a barricade or defensive wall within the church to hopefully offer up some protection if the vampire decides to strike.

He won't return to his gnomish form just yet, waiting for the potion to run its course, not too much longer he is guessing.

"We must stick Bragar, the vampires grip won't be so easily lessened. He has attacked us within the village before now, and the fog traps us within these lands. We have little choice but to try and find some willing adventurers to help us rid this place of the vampyrs influence and free this town of its foul presence."

Bragar will help Castran bar the doors and windows. Yes I hope we will find some to help us. Now when we return we will most likely have to kill our friends.

"If we get through the night we need to rest and regroup. Some of The holy men from my mountain could lay runes of protection that activate when touched or passed! We could maybe get some big cloth squares and you could inscribe it upon them, and then we could fold them up and lay them out if we have to stop and rest again maybe.
We should shore up at the inn perhaps, or Ireena's house if you can. Once we have made a place as safe as possible we should rerest and recover our expended magic again during daylight hours, so we will be fully healed and prepared for the trip back. I will try and buy some garlic buds and a mirror so we can at least check who may or may not be a vampire when in the castle."

Bragar- That would be my first choice is to try and break the spell that holds them. But we will need more than us to accomplish this feat. I have not been to been to this Ireenas house before. Is it safe?
