PROLOGUE: Loge Thanos

“Powder, eh,” Vestal says. “Ol Ress on the Mount can make some. She’s an alchemist of sorts, but kind of a recluse. She lives in the brightly-painted, bizarre abode at the highest point on the west side of Loge Thanos, past the last cargo lift.”

Oor-Jax, MA gorrilla
While the others speak with Vestal, Oor-Jax looks through the firearms in the shop, looking for something he could manage with his large gorilla hands.

Re: PROLOGUE: Loge Thanos
Jack "Well I don't have the money to afford any of this so I think I will thank you for your time and start looking for some rocks to throw at anything that attacks me." clearly down on luck Jack just saunters off to await the others.

There are no completed firearms in Vestal’s shop. You can identify parts which may be for firearms (barrels, cylinders), but nothing more definitive based on character firearm knowledge.

Frekken Ribbitowicz, MA Frog
Frekken is complimented by Blixx's thumb's up, and shoots an appreciative finger-gun salute at the mothman. Feeling suddenly bolstered by pride in his weapon, he is visibly disheartened when his friends can't find what they want.
"Aw, don't give up hope--I'm sure there's the perfect gun out there for you!" he encourages, then presents his bow. "I didn't come by this sweet piece easily--I had to fight a mangrove full of 'grubs for it, but I got it!"
He smiles winningly. "Hm. Where can we look for weapons in the wild? There's gotta be some hidden cache, or secret base, or..." He rambles on innocently, blocking the door to Vestal's shop.

With enough coin and/or barter you could get these made.
Indeed! Thus, the urge to adventure.

"Froggy-man good thinker. We go find Oor-Jak fire gun in the bad places," Oor-Jak replies to Frekken.

Cthul Hand Luke, mutant
Luke is interested in the bullets, has the shells, and the price seems right. But he too lacks the powder.
"How about a whip? Got one of those?"

Jack "I'll just stick to my crossbow for now then. The sidearm will have to be for dire situations."

Bart, Mutant Human
"Aye, let us go see this ali-che-mist, and inquire of cost. So, we know at the least."
Bart, removes his hat and rubs his head. Then heads west.

To bump things along:
Are there any more provisions needed for a journey into the Gam'A Zone?
Are you going to visit Ress on the Mount about gun powder?
Are you going to visit Rarps the Merchant about gun powder?
Is there anyone else you need to talk with?

Jack is giving everything he has to the pool he'd like to keep his gun but will resort to the crossbow if he has to.

OK, I’m assuming you don’t want to split up. You will visit Ress first and then Rarps, both able to supply firearm powder.
Continuing on through Loge Thanos, your crew makes its way to the far west of the cliff-dwelling town and ascends the natural steps to the highest point. At the top, the urge to enjoy the view of the valley below subsides to the scene of the bizarre structure before you. Of all the haphazard structures in Loge Thanos, this building stands out from them all. It is painted with bright colors; pinks, oranges, “frog” greens, etc. Multicolored streamers and banners hang from roof eaves and overhangs, each fluttering in the wind. Pots and containers of various shapes and sizes are placed everywhere and from which sprout plants of equally strange variety. Rodents, apparently domesticated, scurry about and chatter with each other. From behind a circular, main door comes friendly singing and talking interrupted with a few clangs of metal bouncing off of unseen objects.
This is the home of Ress on the Mount.
