Drawing and loading his crossbow, Dren takes aim at the second skeleton and when the chance arises, lets his bolt fly with a snarl of anger ......

Pyrrhic chokes up on his spear, attempting to drive it down through the spine of the skeleton that shoved him.

To hit with Spear: [1d20+1] = 18+1 = 19, damage: [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4

Dren reloads his crossbow and lets another bolt fly towards the opening in the wall. Like the first bolt, his aim is exact and takes another skeleton down. But like the tide, another skeleton forces its way forward and into the breach in the wall.
Mortiganto takes an uneasy swing at the skeleton impaled (?) upon Pyrrhic's spear but fails to connect with the undead creature.
Pyrrhic chokes up on the haft of the spear and drives the skeleton back towards the wall, driving the tip of the spear into the creature's spine and splitting it in two.

There are 2 skeletons left, one entering the room and one in the other room waiting to enter.

The skeleton entering the room seizes the opportunity to strike at Pyrrhic, swinging it's (t)rusty short sword however the distance is too great and the blade passes to the side of Pyrrhic harmlessly.
Attack: [1d20] = 3 Damage: [1d6] = 4

With his spear free of the creature's weight, Pyrrhic spins around flat against the wall to the side of the opening, lunging his spear towards the skeleton that swung at him.
"Hold the line! Do not let any more of these foul creatures enter!"

To hit with Spear: [1d20+1] = 4+1 = 5, damage: [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5

Skirting around the others, Dren reloads and tries to find an opportunity to fire although his aim is hampered as he tries to avoid his friends ....

Pyrrhic attempts to take on the skeleton with his spear but is unable to get the purchase on the floor necessary to maneuver the spear properly.

Dren fires his crossbow bolt, careful to avoid his friends and is rewarded for his diligence as the bolt cracks into the skull of the skeleton, however being a creature born of dark magic, the bolt is not powerful enough to take the thing down.

Erinar takes a swing at the skeleton with his mace but his attack passes harmlessly through the air.

Trying again to avoid chopping his allies, Mortiganto takes another clumsy swing at the skeleton with his axe.

Mortiganto Attack:[1d20+1] = 6+1 = 7; Skele-damage: [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3

With the remaining two skeletons in the room now, the first one continues its fight with Pyrrhic, swinging its sword
Skeleton Attack: [1d20] = 13 Damage: [1d6] = 6
which connects with Pyrrhic's armor but slides off the metal doing no harm.

The second skeleton charges towards Erinar, swinging its sword wildly
Skeleton Attack: [1d20] = 6 Damage: [1d6] = 5
but fails to connect.

Pyrhric reverses his spear crashes the butt of it into the skeleton's skull, trying to smash it against the wall of the hallway.
"Eat wood, you unholy thing!"

To hit with Spear: [1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20, damage: [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

I don't know if there's any change in attacks/damage for using the end of the spear. Feel free to adjust/reroll if necessary.

Mortiganto tries to back up Erinar, moving to flank a skeleton and debone it with his axe.

Pyrhric reverses his spear crashing the butt of it into the skeleton's skull, trying to smash it against the wall of the hallway. "Eat wood, you unholy thing!"
The switch catches the skeleton by surprise and Pyrrhic is able to crush the thing's skull.

Erinar takes another swing at the last skeleton, cracking several of the thing's ribs. Had it been a living creature, Erinar would surely have dispatched it to it's unholy maker. But this was a creature of death wrapped in magic and was able to withstand Erinar's mighty blow.

Dren fires his crossbow at one of the skeletons but his friend smashes the creature out of the way and his bolt passes through the space ineffectually....

Mortiganto tries to back up Erinar, moving to flank a skeleton and debone it with his axe. His swing comes across the creatures fractured rib cage, severing bones from its spine and finishing it off permanently.

Scrambling through the hole, Dren cries back to the others .....

"Marcus fell to the skeletons beyond and they hacked at him where he lay! Dren fears we are too late .... they are all dead"

Despite fearing the worst, Dren rushes to confirm his fears ....

Erinar rushes past the others to Marcus' side, checking him for any sign of life.
Is Marcus too far gone to save with healing?

Yes. By the time you were able to breach the wall and finish off the remaining skeletons, Marcus reached -10 hp.
Rushing in, Erinar is unable to fins any signs of life with Marcus. His spirit has already fled the shell of his body and passed on to whichever higher plane he followed.

Erinar bows his head and says, "May your soul be bathed in Pelor's light my friend." After a moment he looks around to the others and says, "Do any of you require healing?"
