Your characters will be pilgrims from the Steadfast, which is the largest collection of human civilization on Earth in the Ninth Age.

The Steadfast is made up of 9 different allied monarchies. (Some say "Kingdoms", but when your "Kingdom" is ruled by a Queen, I kind of have issues with the word choice.)
