Sorry for the delay...somewhat busy, but also candidly suffering some DM burnout.

Everyone is all together, getting ready to cross the ice shelf.

Hi Guys

I just wanted to apologize for not being around. I had some real life stuff going on.
I will resume the mantel of Vorsyin soon!

well this does not bode well for us now does it? A Dragon and a Cloud Giant.

Who can stay on their feet without holding on to the rope? We need to do ranged damage and fast.

I think Flam is the only caster with magical footing.

Not sure who, if anyone, has crampons. Will give any NPC'd character an intelligence check have to donned their crampons before venturing forth. Any played character who did not specify that they are wearing crampons is SoL, I am afraid.

I used to have some crampons but that guy is dead. Mashed into paste as frost giants marched over him.

Are any casters standing near people with magical footing? Maybe a secure-footed person could hold a caster steady while the caster casts?

BTW, I'm traveling again starting tomorrow. I should have Internet access during that time, but my posting may be more sporadic than usual.

I will leave that level of strategy to the players.

No problem. I will plan to update Friday or Saturday.

Is everyone on the slippery stuff still? Or does 'round the bulge' mean on a safe surface? I think the first 4 are past aren't they.

I'm not sure how well my dwarves can fire off their ranged attacks with light crossbows and not having the anti slip gear. Brax might be able to throw his magical war hammer one handed since he can will it back into his hand.

The slippery stuff constitutes the whole shelf.

Your team can all fire, though it does take two hands to reload a crossbow.

Could Arqos hold on to Hollis to allow him to cast a spell?

Somehow I'm thinking a couple of arrows aren't going to make a huge difference.
