Chapter 01: One day at the pub

Just realized that Jacob is the only human here, and a 17 year old human at that. Now I really am curious as to how they all became friends

Jacob, "Alright then, what's the plan? I'd be fine with waiting for the man to wake up but if you old men are too antsy then we can head to rat ridge and see what is up there... we might as well get this "adventure" over with..." Jacob then turns around and drinks what is left of his drink, muttering under his breath, "Hope it's worth it... freaking Wob..."

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin "Forget the drunk. Better to go find Gung. Or just find something more credible to look into." the dwarf waves off at the mention of the drunk and never mentions wob unlike some of his friends newer friends as some might be.

[Dram]

Ox- Well lets go grab our gear and get on the road. You ready boys to get your boots muddy.

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin looks down at his already muddy boots "Eh well Ox I beat you to that part already." smiling he points to his muddy boots. Then remembers the cloth given to him by the bartender wipes the nasty stuff from his hand that snatched the pouch earlier. "Let us go forth friends." he smiles as he speaks. A clear glint of joy in his eyes often seen by his friends when there is an adventure afoot.

[MonkeyWrench]

Jacob gets up from the stool, sighing while scratching the back of his head, "Yeah, I'll get my gear... We can meet at the town gate I guess..."

[Dram]

Ox- Gets down from barstool with a big smile on his face. So we will all meet at the town gates in a hour. Jacob maybe you can grab some of that good dried fish that you guys make at the temple?

[Nordbo]

Darren the barman:

"You guys going bouldering again ? Here, have some energy bars; your mums told me you'd be sure to forget to pack your own" - tosses 1 set of iron rations each to Korin, Norbold, Jacob and Ox respectively

As Jacob walks towards the entrance, holding the rations, he waves to Ox, "Yeah, I'll grab some if there's any left."

Once grabbing his stuff he will meet the others at the town gate.

Background history:

you've all lived in Slowcroft all your lives, Ox, Norbold and Korin a little longer than Jacob. But always hung out together (as soon as Jacob was big enough to play, he joined the gang). In a small village in a forgotten dusty dry corner of Al'atha you had to make do with those around you, now matter how odd the combo

When I get the signal that all four characters are ready to set off on their trek, the next part begins.

Jacob is ready at the town gate.

[Dram]

Ox is ready and waiting with Jacob at the gate. Well Jacob are you ready to get this big adventure on the way. Did the priest give you any trouble when you told them you were leaving on a adventure?

[MonkeyWrench]

Jacob sighs, "No, practically threw me out laughing. Said I need to get out more or something... Adventures.... sounds like a lot of work."

[Dram]

Ox giggles under his breath. He smiles at the cleric Well ya cant hide within the temple walls all your life.

[MonkeyWrench]

Cleric? You know Jacob is a thief right? Just an orphan, so he would be intimate with the temple.

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin was ready a long time ago and went straight to the gates to wait. Being both a fighter and a thief he remembers Jacob when he was just starting to steal. "Took yah both long enough. I find it is best to always be prepared before you start." Korin says with a wink to both Ox and Jacob.

[Dram]

Ox- We are waiting on the cleric again I see. He is always the late one.




My mistake I did think that Jacob was a Cleric. Norbold is the cleric.
