OOC thread
Re: OOC thread
N.B! you don't have to map your game. You might manage fine anyway! In the 'house rules' I wrote "If the group wants to keep track of location..." so I'm not forcing you to. But I'm not going to do it - I'm not the explorer
Re: OOC thread
LOL I could use one of those! The jan i tor! kinda like a minotaur but it cleans
Re: OOC thread
OK Dram, will do. See you soon!
Re: OOC thread
Welcome back Dram! Ox has in the meantime:
- given in to group pressure to continue exploring and not take a rest even though it's late in the day
- stepped in some zombie leftovers

Re: OOC thread
Yegad, no value judgment intended! Sorry if it sounded like that. First I wrote 'Jacob opens the door by pulling it towards him while not exposing him to the opening' but then took a look at that nonsense and settled for 'hiding behind it' insteadTruly, the most courageous of them all.Jacob opens the door by hiding behind it

Re: OOC thread
sounds like a total opposite from most of your usual characters MW

Don't forget that, to his credit, Jacob has - in the space of one mere post - changed from 'let's go outside to rest' to 'ok let's keep on' without any grumbling! A true soldier!

Hahahahah
No offense taken Nordbo, in fact that is exactly what he would have done.
Jacob isn't exactly a coward, he's just not the most anxious of sorts.

However, it would probably be more to the effect he knows he is outnumbered and instead of arguing about it he decides to simply move on.

Korin's an old surly dwarf he's been a solder in many armies. Think of the countless battles and sleepless nights he has been through before.

Re: OOC thread
There's no 'point' to be made here, just trying to follow some kind of cause and effect line (always iffy in the arbitrary borderline world of realism and fantasy that a one-man-controlled game is, I know).really what was the point? 4 players out numbered this badly really?
Trying to look at it as objectively as possible, my take on the recent turn of events is: If a bunch of intrepid explorers enter a possibly goblin-infested compound and raise some ruckus, then it shouldn't be entirely illogical that such goblins may
a) gradually become suspicious and post guards at key points overnight
b) appear in numbers when alerted by an alarm bell
c) confront any invaders
Which I think just happened
In any case: I really am not out to eradicate PCs - my hope is you'll want to play it through, that the PCs will make it and gain knowledge, experience and stuff along the way.
For now it seems you have chosen the multi-opponent combat card, and we'll play with that. May the force be with you!
PS. Just curious, why does it seem that noone is interested in the possible magical/combat use of 'artifacts & items' obtained along the way, or clues related to them (like maybe things bouncing off Korin hint hint)? Is it a typical PbP thing ? I'm still a PbP newbie and can only compare with tabletop AD&D, where everyone I've played with always wants to identify & try out found items ASAP......

Re: OOC thread
the only thing I found was money and a strange frog thing no clue if it is magical. Oh but wait there is the crap i got off the drunk..... I never even had it looked at no idea if that stuff is magical either. At any rate I'm a thief I don't really know how to use wands and all that.

Re: OOC thread
not sure. I can only assume we are at least on a temporary hold/game pause.
