Dai the Veteran perished in battle, trapped behind a portcullis with a Horned Ogre and Brigand, bravely wielding the Sword of Thaxon. Too, the gate was raised by force but alas, it was too late to save Dai.

Dunther the Veteran succumbed first to a Harpy's charms, thence to her razor-sharp claws while delving the depths of the Dwarven Mine.
