Undead I

#1 Post by bloodymage »

You receive a report in the early night that Edvard of Stallroot, a farmer, is being harassed with horrific, seemingly brain-dead creatures. They've killed his cow, pig and chickens, torn up his vegetable garden and are now beating on the door and attempting to climb through the windows. Your party is only five minutes away at a run from Edvard's steading.

The pike runs thru the abomination loosely, exits the other side and the creature goes inanimate hanging on the weapon.

Morton stays back at a reasonable distance for a mage. If there are a group of zombies (>4) that are not near something flammable (house/barn...etc) structure he will cast flaming sphere and direct it toward them. If this is not the case he will move to garner the attention of a group of the zombies and lure them away from the flammable structures in hopes of using the flaming sphere. I hate zombies...

You target two of the creatures. They do not get a save. Roll 2d4 damage.

Harold comes rushing in beside Horris, his bald head gleaming in the moonlight as he roars and swings his heavy hammer down upon one of the undead creatures.

Heavy War Hammer: [1d20+1] = 15+1 = 16, Damage: S/M[1d6+3] = 6+3 = 9, L[1d6+2] = 3+2 = 5

for next round then.

Harold pulls his hammer from the dead things head, mush and brain stuff still clinging to the hammer as the moonlight glints off of Harolds bald head. He swings again with grim determination...

Heavy War Hammer: [1d20+1] = 6+1 = 7, Damage: S/M[1d6+3] = 3+3 = 6, L[1d6+2] = 3+2 = 5
Heavy War Hammer: [1d20+1] = 1+1 = 2, Damage: S/M[1d6+3] = 4+3 = 7, L[1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8

yikes... next round is gonna suck.

Harold unfortunately got gunk in his eyes which threw his attack awry.

Cat will stay back in the shadows and target one of the zombies on away from where his companions are in melee with his sling.

Horris shakes the inanimate zombie off his pike and charges the next zombie in line.
Awl Pike [1d20 +2] = 18+2 = 20 dmg s/m[1d6 +4] = 5+4 = 9 dmg lrg[1d12 +4] = 1+4 = 5

Damage for first round:[2d4] = 5

Morton keeps the "sphere" on top of the two zombies he targeted.

Horris rips through that one with ease. The spheres burn through the zombies in two rounds.

Horris shakes and kicks the remains of the second zombie off his pike then looks around for another 3rd round by then. Dram is also working to join us Bloodymage. Horris will wait out the flaming sphere before barrelling into the next zombie he sees with his pike. Instead he takes out his footman's mace and cracks the skulls of the two he just speared with his pike.

Five down, eight to go. Two attack Harold in his lapse. One hits and does one point of damage.

If it gets close the halfling will draw his sword and dagger and attack. If he has time he will try another sling stone first.
