Kernodle, emotions completely haywire from the fight, the pain, the fatigue, the surface, the... the surface. They made it out. He starts to feel better already.

Luken will blink his eyes in the light and swallowing ragged breaths will turn around about 30 feet from their egress and train his crossbow at the portal. If a kolbold appears he will take a shot. We... made... it...

Abelard doesn't stop running until he's safe and sound back in the scriptorium of the abbey.

He never leaves it again.

Tavari tries to hide in the foliage, bow trained on the cave exit (entrance?) for any kobolds that may be in pursuit. His heart races with both exuberant relief and nervous anticipation.

Kernodle follows Abe back into town, best he can, looking for healing. He knows he could not withstand another puncture or bite. He will then trade some gold for an ale or two.

As for this, Abe and Kernodle are out. If Luken and Pardu want to stick around, I can try to work out the details for a finale of sorts this weekend (or maybe Monday) and we can resolve the final battle sometime early next week.

Luken will put more distance between himself and the cave as soon as his friends are clear... still sick from the centipede bite he has no desire to fight unless cornered.

Pardu will walk back to town with Kernodle and Abe, willing heal Kernodle in exchange for helping him out of the cave. Then he spends the rest of his immediate future seeking out the face of that man who led him to the sand trap and introducing it to his flail.
