Re: Out of Character Banter
If you have questions ask away. I do not want you to feel that you do not have time to ascertain your situation, take in your surroundings.
Re: Out of Character Banter
BZ, I feel you've done a fine job describing things. I think I can picture the spire-tower and the homes of these people perfectly; The homes remind me of gourds, sit at odd angles perhaps, and with a 'scaly' look due to the stones. That roughly right?
This place is cool. But the stone visage, while I see it as the maw of a (man? Creature?) with it's lower jaw (or part of it) underground, and it may be two-stories (or that tall), I do have to ask how long it might be? Roughly 'human head' proportions, or more like a head from the aliens movies (standard face size, really long back of head)? Would we need to go further into the village to notice this detail? That's about all I need for a picture
Sorrows is pretty interested in getting something to eat, primarily. After that, it would be good to ask around and maybe see if there is a wise-person here (the spire?) that knows something of the world, or world-space we are in. What do you say, guys?
For Sorrows, secondarily, I think I'll have him looking about the place for pictograms or other markings that might denote sorcery, or sorcerous beings/activities.

Re: Out of Character Banter
Merc - as to the homes you have it nailed down.
The head is mannish in appearance, and of the approximate proportions of a normal man's head - no elongations. The difference is in the absence of a nose - either from wear, damage or due to the whims of the sculptor. The eyes are larger and no not have pupils - then again that could be the scupltors desire. The ear you see is much much smaller, than a normal ear, and on the head where hear would be, are raised curved scales. No eyebrows are represented, but that again could be weathering or due to the artistic whims of it's creator. It's old though...that you can tell.
This is of course apparent to all of your characters.

....Hmm... As if they built this place around it, then? That sort of old... I think I'm going to have Sorrows have a look at the fellows of this tribe and see if they have proper hair or not; If they look like this fellow. Otherwise, this appears to me to be a place they found after the fact and built upon. Cool!

The many brown folk Sorrow's can see all look like him though brown, and have hair, though some are bald - none have scales or resemble the stone head.

The odd tentacle/tongue curving pillar is nearly a stellasun tall, about 10 Talons to Gibbering or an easy bowshot over it or really tall to Blood.

Dude! That is so 'Mad Max' I can't stand it!Blackrazor wrote:A young girl breaks ranks, jogging beside Blood Skald, her face beams with smiles and awe. "Are you here to be one with us?" She chirps, as she grabs hold of his muscled led, hugging it, as she looks up longingly at the great white man.

Re: Out of Character Banter
Sorry folks been and am very busy with life - work, some sickness, a couple family events, moving - in general a hectic mess with little time or inertia to post. Will try to post around Christmas time when things have hopefully settled down a bit.
Re: Out of Character Banter
I hope those who are sick are getting better quickly! My prayers for you and yours, Sir. Also, loving the game, but it's worth the wait
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, fellows!
