Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Bjorn lets the healing finish and leaves the room. Looks to aid his friends in the west room.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
I could have Bjorn heal someone if anyone needs it in the west room or I could attempt hold person but not sure it would work on a giant.

Ianin stands by the side of the group having already tossed his knife and not wanting to get caught in his own spell. He will strike out with his staff if any of the giants get close enough.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Bjorn after being healed himself will walk over to the others fighting the giant in the room to the west and cast cure light wounds on whomever appears most injured. If nobody needs the heal Bjorn will just use it on himself.
Cure Light Wounds[1d8] = 4

Three Heads Are Better Than One? - Round Five
Andover the ranger wipes off the blood from the dead giant. He feels the pain of his own wounds, and quaffs his Potion of Healing given to him by Count Brass. The adventurers look on at the coughing, vomiting giants through the doorway to the west room. Honnilee the hobbit, Poltux the fighter and Shen the monk hurl stone, javelin and dagger but miss as the giants stagger about and convulse. One giant is huge at 14', while the others are 12' and 10'. Of the six morlocks, three seem to be fighting through the stinking cloud and have injured each of the giants.
Flint the illusionist continues to concentrate on control or guidance of the morloks. As he watches them he begins to suspect he has no influence on them, other them bringing them forth into this reality. Bjorn the cleric, lacking a missile weapon to throw at the giants, looks around for injured comrades to heal. Given Andover took his potion, and Durandal healed Bjorn, no one is heavily injured at the moment.
Raquinel the violet sorceress intones the words to a Flaming Sphere spell,
sending it into the room circularly to ignite the beds. Idwellin the druid hurls another sling stone at the creature, again striking the largest giant squarely in the chest. Smoke from the burning beds is getting heavy.
The three giants are in dire straits between the morloks, party missile attacks and flaming beds. However, the stinking cloud seems to be dissipating.
Actions for Round Six!

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Andover attacks the largest giant if the stinking cloud dissipates. If it does not, he waits at the edge of the cloud and attacks any giant that comes within range.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Poltux readies his Flail and moves into position for next round on the 10-footer. Taunting the lot, he shouts in Orc as he walks "Crush two of their heads in and see what stories the last has for us!"

Bjorn waits for the cloud to dissipate so that he can help battle the giants.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Seeing as how the melee fighters are all ready to go Ianin quietly waits for his spell to dissipate before retrieving his thrown dagger. Once that is done he shall survey the battle and see what help he can muster.

Shen waits for the cloud to disperse so he can attack without vomiting.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
I am. Gonna. Hit. SOMETHING! Undaunted, Honnilee lobs yet another bullet from her sling.
HAH! The tiny Thief does a Hobbit happy dance.

Flint begins to worry less about concentration on controlling the Grims, and more about what happens after their work is done...

Three Heads Are Better Than One? - Round 6 & 7
The Fellowship of Law stand poised at the doorway, watching the struggling giants. Smoke is bellowing about from the five large burning beds, mixing with the dissipating stinking cloud. The party waits as the cloud clears - perhaps another minute.
In the meantime, Honnilee and Idwellin twirl their slings again. The hobbit's stone flies true, striking the smallest of the giants painfully in the right cheek. The druid's aim however is obscured at the moment of release; his stone flies too far to the right. Raquinel the sorceress lets the flaming sphere trail off into the giants midst. It burns the 12' giant directly (9 HP), while singeing the 10' giant (6 HP.)
As the cloud clears enough, the poised adventurers get the jump on the giants. Honnilee gets another sling shot off. It is a perfect shot, striking the 12' giant in the eye of the middle head and blinding one of his six eyes (critical, 6 HP.) Idwellin the druid fares better on his second shot, nailing the shoulder of the smallest giant (7 HP.)
Raquinel the pyromancer draws forth her wand of telekinesis, lifts the largest of burning beds,
and drops it on the largest giant (14 HP). The creature screams and staggers down to one leg, heavily damaged from the many attacks on it, coughing now from smoke.
Andover the ranger charges in, his ensorcerelled sword Spellslasher cutting into the 12' giant twice. He cleaves a hip from the left side, then swings around to the front, avoiding three flailing arms. His blade drives up between its legs and out its backside; the giant howls and topples back dead, almost tearing Spellslasher from the ranger's grasp.
Poltux too charges in with his javelin. He catches the 10' giant, tearing a gash into its left leg (4 HP.) Bjorn the cleric follows but smoke gets in his eye and his mace only grazes a giant. Shen the monk focuses his zen for a power punch, but breaths in a remnant wisp of stinking cloud and misses.
The three morloks effected by the stinking cloud are now free to attack, and they leap upon the injured giants. Of the other three morloks, two are dead, but the third fights on. There is rending, tearing, hacking, biting on both sides. Giants scream, morloks growl, flames lick. The smoke is becoming too much.
"Papa, NO!!" screams the youth giant, suddenly behind the party in the east room. The boy must have circled around after his retreat through the south door of the west room! He rushes and grabs Raquinel right off Idwellin's shoulders, and with his three arms smashes her on his knee. Her scream is broken by the savage crack of her back being broken (12 HP.) She slumps down like a ragdoll, perhaps dead.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
"Stupid giant child should have stayed fled," thinks Andover to himself as he attacks the nearest living giant.
