"What do you think, Vik? Should we go check it out real quick and see if there is anything interesting down here? Might be something useful... Or we could always go up, make the trek all the way back to the nearest down, and get some more rope and come back."

the torch falls and falls until it is just a pinpoint of light and you hear an echo of it striking a solid surface.

Altough not usually made to suffer from fear of heights, Vik tries unsuccessfully to swallow the lump of dread in his throat when the torch keeps falling and falling. He leans back against the wall and subcosciously grabs ahold of Cilian's cloak until his magely mate gives him the look and he embarrassingly lets go...

that's quite wide apart.. Can we hang a rope down there and swing over?

Tubeedee takes out his rope (DM to please see OOC thread - if I can't then I'll run back and get one of the ones we had) gives some of it to someone at the bottom of our bit of stairs, and runs to the top to secure it to something, door jamb maybe?

IIRC there was enough rope to secure it to the top of the steps and still reach Cil and Vik. then we can toss it to them. This should be interesting!
