That's not good,Tub murmurs. We have enough rope to secure it at the top of the steps and get you guys up, he calls down, not sure we'll be able to, or want to, get the rest of us down.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Cilian looks down, then back up, then over at Vik.

"What do you think, Vik? Should we go check it out real quick and see if there is anything interesting down here? Might be something useful... Or we could always go up, make the trek all the way back to the nearest down, and get some more rope and come back."

Altough not usually made to suffer from fear of heights, Vik tries unsuccessfully to swallow the lump of dread in his throat when the torch keeps falling and falling. He leans back against the wall and subcosciously grabs ahold of Cilian's cloak until his magely mate gives him the look and he embarrassingly lets go...

Think so, yeah. Would like to hear from the other players, too.

I'd say we all go down there, what is left to do up here, Tub?. One after another. Does anyone of you have torches left?

"If we all go down, then you lot are gonna have to figure out a way over the broken steps. Still... Those who don't take chances seldom achieve anything worth achieving," Cilian replies in his best sage-like voice.

Wisely spoken, my friend!
How big is the gap between the two edges of the stairs?

I could request Thors advice, if we rest here... I could ask if it's good bad or neutral when we go down the stairs.

Viktor nods his head in adamant agreement and looks to be getting impatient about being stuck on the questionable stairwell.

"By the by, lads, me n' Cil can't fly. We're gonna need rope if'n we're gonna get back up where yous guys be at!"

Ok Let's move then. I don't have rope or anything similar. How much rope do we have all together? Come on, hurry, I don't wanna stay here for to long and have these Deathmongers fall in our back...

Osric looks around for any sneeking attackers, just in case...

"Okay.. I'll head back to town with someone so we can get enough rope to pull these guys up.."

Scy glances below to get a feel for how far down they are. How many feet estimated?

Tubeedee takes out his rope (DM to please see OOC thread - if I can't then I'll run back and get one of the ones we had) gives some of it to someone at the bottom of our bit of stairs, and runs to the top to secure it to something, door jamb maybe?

IIRC there was enough rope to secure it to the top of the steps and still reach Cil and Vik. then we can toss it to them. This should be interesting!

Osric detects no sneaking occurring.

The travel to town takes about a week, response in OOC thread.
