Rafo has to go back across the bridge to find it, but he brings a BIG stone up to the altar bowl. The cold fires within emit a bright blue light and chilling breeze. Rafo is not sure if his eyes adjust in time to see or if his Earth Sense ability warned him in time but he sees the top of a girls head shadowed within. As if someone is standing in a deep hole!

Caltus the mage (14)

Caltus uses his dagger to cut down the skins with writing on them, rolls them up and adds them to his pack.
DM: "Black Dougal gasps 'Poison!' and falls to the floor. He looks dead."
Fredrik: "I'm grabbing his pack to carry treasure in."

***Rafo, Temple Area, Near bridge***

"Guys!" Rafo, jumps back after being startled by what he saw. Pointing at the large container, " there appears to be a humanoid female figure within that thing, and she somehow seems to be standing up in it. Like there is another compartment within that container and it leads down." Dropping the stone, he than secures his javenlin with the net being at the ready in his left.

Varrick goes back to the altar and inspects the figure as Rafo points it out.

It's hard to make out any details concerning the figure with the blue flames because of the dancing brilliant light but you can tell it is not similar to the hag you killed. It remains immobilized.

Varrick puts his hand up, testing the flames for warmth, depending on the response Varrick will get his hand close enough to make sure the flames are real or he will slowly put his hand down until he gets a reaction from the flames or the entity inside them.

The flames are icy cold to the touch. It's obvious that prolonged exposure could cause damage but not immediately.
Varrick pats the head within, feeling soft hair. It remains unresponsive.

Varrick puts his other hand in, taking the head from both sides and attempts to lift the body, once the cold starts to cause pain he will quickly remove his hands.

The body lifts somewhat, allowing Varrick to grip a collar, and then under the arms. He pulls a short girl from the bowl and she flops onto the stairs. Her skin is ice cold but she breathes. In fact, you can see her eyes straining to move but she remains still besides. She's not cold enough to be frozen. Strange...

Varrick cradles the girls head in his arms, using his body heat to help warm her up slightly, "Oy! Get meh sum blankets fer 'er, She i' freezin!" Varrick looks into her eyes, "na don' be 'fraid yeh? a'm 'ere ta 'elp yeh, ya undastandin meh? Blink ya eye's once fer yeh an' twice fer no."

Fast talking for initial reaction with the girl, hopefully I come across well and she doesn't flip a shit

Caltus the mage

"She appears to be under sway of some spell.." Caltus murmurs as he looks at the girl pulled from the cauldron. He searches his memory for any similar effect he may have either witnessed or read about in his past studies.

Malfiac Dex 10

It is awefully quite where Malfiac is waiting right now. Staring down the other path that forked off from the entrance, his torch the only lightsource around him, he waits patiently for the group to come back from the altar area, completely unaware of what might be happening back in the room. He has no reaon to go back to that room, so he bides his time examining his jagged bone dagger more closely, holding it close to his torch for a better view.
Even a child that receives one bit of praise has the ability to excel in a single talent, and those who receive regular encouragement can feel confidence, achieve success, and become leading members of society. Because they don’t believe they are worthless, they don’t need to raise a fist and have vengeance against fate or the world at large… ~Inspector Lunge

She indeed appears to be under the effects of a paralysis spell or power. Your knowledge of such things tells you if it was a spell, it should have worn off in the time the party has been exploring this room. Something else must be causing the effect.

***Rafo, Temple Area of Cave***

Listening and looking carefully, Rafo takes notice of any changes that might of happened after the girl was released form the container. If none are heard or spotted he makes his way, carefully, across the bridge and to the other side. "Lets leave this place mates. I have a bad feeling that something might of went horribly wrong..."
He listens for any clicking noises or other like sounds that might give away when a trap has been set/sprung. Also, he is VERY carefull when crossing the bridge...like not trusting it to support his wait anymore.

Please, roll for me for Dice Roller is still not working for many players....

Thorgrim will re-examine the bowl and if he can't see anything or anyone else in the bowl he will pick up the rock that Rafo brought back and heave it into the bowl.

Even as Thorgrim examines the bowl the blue flames die extinguishing their eerie light. He can see a 5' deep hole in the bowl which is empty until he Places ythe rock inside.

The bridge remaines sturdy. The girl, you can now see plainly, is quite unattractive and a bit short for a human. Varrick has seen similar birth defects before among the peasantry.
Mal picks up his abandoned torch and relights it with one of the bridges candles as the blue lights from the snake chamber fade and Rafo makes his way over.

Seeing that everyone has deemed to ignore his request Varrick picks the girl up and brings her over to the bedding area, grabbing a blanket or cloth of some kind that smells the least and wraps the girl in it, he says to himself, Bleedin useless... if it 'bout killin jus' fo' tha sake a killin den dey all 'bout it bu' soon a's 'eres live's ta be saved? 'Nah nah we's jus' gonna go leave er play wit dis rocks... useless dem all..." With the girl wrapped up to help her get warmer Varrick looks around for some wood that he can make into a sled to carry the girl back to town with, he also checks around for a vial of some sort that could be the poison that paralyzed her or the cure.

***Rafo, Temple Area Near Bridge**

Making it across the bridge, Rafo looks back at Varrick and the rescued girl. "Throw her on your back Varrick and let's go! Who she is or whatever the hell she is we are not sure of yet. We do not even know if when she awakens what her actions will be....attack us? You best keep a good eye on her least till we can bring her back to town. Than let them deal with her. Now hurry the hell up mate!"

As Varrick searches he calls back out, "A'm so sorray dat ma tryin ta save dis gurl is eatin at ya precious time. I don' spose it'd be propa of ya ta 'elp meh out eh? Ah nah, yeh jus' stay dere an' watch yeh? Wuldn't wan't ya 'ands ta be all dirty from touchin da peasant folk, a'll be ready ina minnut."

If no logs or rods of any kind can be found to make the sled using his own rope then Varrick will take Rafo's advice and sling her onto his back and carry her out. He is still looking for any vials that have liquid or could have liquid for the antidote or something for the herbalist to look at in order to make a cure.
