Re: OOC
well I don't need to get drunk and watch all sorts of blasphemous acts and I'd like a decent place to sleep.

Re: OOC
I would find it a lot easier to read posts if everyone can use the full editor and use the dialog and occ so I can see the differences by using the correct colors

Re: OOC
Since we are out and about, Tella's usual spell load out is:
Snilloc's Snowball
Magic Missile x 2
Flaming Sphere
Continual Light
She did cast continual light earlier though. Inventory updated with "piece of chalk infused with continual light".

Re: OOC
So it's 1. To the Blackstar for sleep. 2. The day in Waterdeep to gather any last minute items. 3. To the Yawning Portal to see what's up there.
How are your food and water reserves? Do you want to try and seek out any hirelings or anything else? If you guys are set I'll send you over to the Yawning Portal tomorrow morning.
Also, any specific marching order for in the dungeon?

Re: OOC
I'm game for heading over to the portal. Tella is fine with acting as a lantern/torch bearer as long as it does not interfere with casting. Let me know how that works in this game. She has no additional inventory needs but she does wake up early in the morning to re-memorize continual light.

Re: OOC
I am fine I think with what I have but I might take a look again and see if i need anything else for venturing underground. Glimble too offered to be a lantern bearer if needed. Otherwise no I think no hirelings needed. Marching order I don't care how we go really makes sense to protect the spell casters though and have some stealth like a ranger near the front and some muscle watching our backs too.
In looking I think Glimble will be looking for the following items to buy:
Magnifying Glass (unfortunately too expensive in the PHB) 100gp
Bullseye Lantern 12gp (PHB)
3 Lamp Oil Flasks 6cp per flash (PHB)
Signal Whistle 8sp (PHB)
Tent small 5gp (PHB)
Hammer 5sp (AD&D 2e Core 2,0 software)
4 Iron spike 5 cp (found online)

Keeping Track
Hey guys, before we get too far into Undermountain I'd like to ask you guys to use a specific system for tracking things. Back on the Player Character Sheet Thread, could you guys track important things underneath your character sheet in plain text here is an example (at a minimum please track you HP and items/treasure you use or pick up while adventuring):
Medical Record:
24HP (3rd level)
24->22 (hobgoblin arrow)
22->16 (orc)
16->20 (CLW)
etc...
Items:
used 1 torch
Arrows (started with 20) current total = 18
Found amber gem.
Acquired Sword +1
Also, in battle I'm going to use a single 1d12 roll for each side for initiative each round, first person to respond when a battle starts can roll it. I'll then modify it with your weapon speed/spell speed when figuring out the order in which to resolve actions.
Game on, have fun guys!

Re: OOC
Will do, thanks! One question, how many of us are actually descending out of the characters listed?

Re: OOC
I assumed you all went down, and not everybody had a chance to respond - we are moving pretty quickly here. Hopefully, all 6 of you are down in the dungeon and everybody deducted 1gp.
If anybody wanted their character to stay up in the city, just let me know, and I can work that out in a separate thread.
