[Dreganor]

Baltir walks back to the table and takes another chicken leg.

"THey'll git over it, even if that was true...which I doubt, by the way" he says as he takes another bite.

[masuro]

"Yeah. Tough tit," says Kenelm. "Finders keepers". Kenelm fills his plate again and continues to eat. Baltir also wants to eat until he is full.

[Dreganor]

Baltir starts to walk away, but then turns back to the table.

"Dang, that was good...."

He walks over and takes a seat and starts to cut off more of the bird.

[Stik]

"So I guess the thought of poison has never occurred to you two?"

[Dreganor]

"Sure it did," Baltir says with food in his mouth. "IT'll take more than some wimpy poison to take *me* out, though!"

[masuro]

(I had guests at the weekend)

Kenelm and the dwarf eat and eat until they can eat no more. Feeling satisfied, they now start to think about where to go next.

[Dreganor]

Baltir wipes his beard/mouth with his sleeve.

"AH! That was good! Now if'n our host only had some decent brew, I'd be grateful!"

He looks around expectantly. Then he looks to his companions.

"Couldn't hurt ta try, eh?" He smiles and chuckles.

HE then moves to the closest exit (not the one they came in through) and goes that way.

There are no exits from this room. When you leave this room through the curtain you can go right down a short hall with three doors or go left down a longer hall with four doors.

[Dreganor]

Baltir heads down the hall with the 3 doors and opens the first one he comes to.

Whoops! Is anyone following the impulsive dwarf?

[Stik]

Certainly. Lead on, Baltir.

The first door you come to is the entrance so I assume you just pass it by. The next door opens into a bedroom. It's about 10x15. Directly across from the door is a tripod on which rests a brazier full of coals (not lit). In the corner of the room is an old bed and a small night table. Otherwise, the room appears to be empty. Everything is dusty and, you guess, has not been used in a very long time.

Baltir moves into the room and takes a look around.

"Nothing 'ere," he says as he moves over to the other side of the bed/table to see what, if anything, is there as well

As Baltir steps up to the bed, he feels something latch on to his boots and then there is a sharp pain. Baltir looks down to see a snake has attacked him from underneath the bed. (2 points of damage)

I think you need to tell me your actions and then roll initiative to see who gets to act first.

[Dreganor]

baltir pulls his foot back and attempts to squash it under his boot.

Damage: (OOC: unsure, but +3str damage)

Oh, I thought the game was dead.
What is DArius going to do?

[Stik]

Darius sees no point in trying to get closer to the snake. It can only complicate things. So he keeps his distance and keeps an eye out for any other threats.

Baltir crushes the snake under his boot. Will he check to see if there are any more under the bed?

[Dreganor]

Baltir steps up to the bed and overturns it to see what else is under it. It seems most foolish to bend down and get on his hands and knees to look, so the dwarf uses his hands to overturn the bed to get a better look at what (if anything) else is under the bed

Fortunately, when you overturn the bed there are no more nasty surprises. As the bed frame and mattress hit the floor, you hear a jingling sound.
