The main road would be fastest, Othmar considers. Time is important here.

6 pm (Dusk)

The party crosses both bridges with no issues, and approches the location listed as the goblin camp. On the hill side above you see a sign of a fire and a guard tower of rickity wood. You can't make out much more at this distance, but if you approch closer on the road anyone on the guard tower would see you.

The side of the road is overgown brush, like a meadow left ungrazed for a decade, with branbles and thorns aplenty. about 200 feet down the road you see a path leading up to the encampment.

How far is the tower from the road? Within range of a longbow? Are we able to attack without being seen?

I'm no sniper, but if there's a sentry up there I could probably feather 'em, Othmar considers the guard tower. Alternately, if anyone can apply force at that distance, they can knock that lean-to over and probably kill whoever's on it, but that would be noisy. Maybe noisier than a goblin with an arrow through his wishbone, maybe not. He begins stringing his longbow.

We can also try to set the tower on fire. I have some lamp oil with me, that thing looks like it would go ablaze in a second. First, however, we must ensure that these are indeed the goblins we were told. Perhaps we can approach from one side of the road, what do you fellas think?

I was hoping to be inconspicuous, unless you want to lure the goblins out and ambush them or something. A fire would certainly bring them running. The dour fighter continues preparing.

You could hit them from the road, but if you where to advance to get in range, you would risk being seen.

Let me know if the party wants me to sketch out the area for clarity.

Patrus suggests that the party approach the tower from the bushes so we can have a closer view of the area.

I will scetch it later today or tomarrow at this time since I am currently in my linux system, and have not found a decent drawing program yet for sketching.

Patrus suggests that the group leave hide in the bushes north of the road and approach the guardtower from there.

Gregor the mage

Gregor nods his assent "Yes, let's move."
DM: "Black Dougal gasps 'Poison!' and falls to the floor. He looks dead."
Fredrik: "I'm grabbing his pack to carry treasure in."

You get closer to the guardtower. You see two goblins, one is in the watchtower, mostly watching the path leading up to the clearing, and another goblin in warming his hands by a fire. Next to him is a hammer, and a large, crude gong. In the rocky outcropping there is a hole with Goblin fetishes painted on the outside. You do not see any other goblins.

You are 50 feet from the guardtower (which is 10 feet high) and 70 feet from the fire where the goblin is warming his hands.
