Iluq graciously accepts his companions assistance as he heads where he is needed.

Date: Nouluna 4, 1221
Time: 7:04 PM - Combat Round 3
Weather: Thunderstorm
Moon: Full
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Chapel of Ravenloft
**************************************
You take advantage of the opportunity presented by the wraiths’ blindness to flee. You guide Iluq and Agrippo back up the stairs. Agrippo follows by sound, refusing to be led by hand like an old man, complaining as he goes. “Which tit let loose his arcanery?” he asks.

“That arcanery just saved our lives,” replies Tibbius.

As you leave the small area with the alcove, Robert starts to lay his Net of Entrapment on the floor. "Try and lead them over the net,” he says. “We can entrap them and make it a lot easier to kill the things!"

“Just throw it!” answers Ireena. Robert nods and lobs the net at the wraiths. It spreads out and covers a 10x10 area just in front of the room with the alcoves. One of the vile creatures deftly dodges the net, but four others are caught, leaving four blinded wraiths free.

You climb the stairs and reach the doors back to the hallway that led you to this room. Two of the wraiths that remain free fly up to the balcony, still blinded. From here, you could attack the four blinded wraiths that remain free of the net, then quickly dispatch the ones that are trapped, or you could flee. If you flee, the wraiths will likely regain their vision in a matter of minutes (as will Agrippo and Iluq) and release the ones captured in the net. But four wraiths are still very dangerous foes.

What will you do?

Status: Agrippo: 46/52, Vokath: 32/36, Ireena: ??/??, Tibbius: 22/22, Randolph: 4/4, Iluq: 34/39, Tumbler: 24/39, Robert: 19/27
Spells: Log of Everburning (Robert): 26.6 turns

Robert will just flee"no point dying trying to be a hero." he says very upset that he has to lose his net.

"if the blind lead the blind we both fall into the pit" Agrippo will quote some text learned out of Vorkaths prayer book. "Wait in safety until our eyes become focused again and then we can either test one of Madam Eva's special brews or find another route to Strahds lair."

Iluq quietly rests, letting the magic fade and his vision become clear once again.

To clarify: at the start of this round you are on the chapel side of the doors, with two wraiths pursuing. I presume you don't want to rest quite yet?

Robert will follow the others into the hallway if that is where they go and help close the doors. If they don't he well go on the defensive.

Vorkath whips open the doors, hurries through with the others, slams the doors shut, and quickly makes his way back down the hall into the audience chamber. Closing doors behind them and encouraging others to spike them.

You continue fleeing the life-sucking wraiths, leaving the mysteries of the chapel—and Robert's Net of Entrapment—behind for now. Vorkath rips open the doors, hustles the rest of you through, and slams the doors shut before the blinded wraiths can follow. He encourages you to spike the doors closed, but realizes that he and the blinded cleric are the only ones who thought to bring spikes.

You make it just to the eastern side of the doors to the short hallway, acutely aware that wraiths are highly intelligent and much faster than you...

Robert retreats all the way back to where the old man (possibly dead and burned now) was.

Anyone else want to post an action, or does everyone follow Robert to the accountant's office?

Iluq follows along, either still blinded or just now recovering from his previous state he is in no mood to wander off.

Iluq and Agrippo are still blinded, but the afterimages of the dazzling lights are starting to fade. They will be able to see again in a minute or two (as will the wraiths).

"I am leary of returning to the scribe's chamber," says Vorkath. "Though we know gargoyles lurk on the first floor. There are not many new paths to take. Perhaps we forge our own - the large broken windows in the audience chamber may allow us to view above and grapple up to a third floor window above us."

The audience chamber was actually where I was heading to. I was also curious about the door behind the man someone set aflame in the scribes chamber I never saw that on the original map it was not until the old school map that I noticed it.

We either gotta move faster or set a trap for the wraiths! says a irritated Tumbler.
