Hrothgar decapitates one Gnoll, and Logan Jabs a wounded one badly.

Miss, a Bad miss, and a near hit.

There are two Gnolls and one wounded Gnoll facing the front line. The leader, who might be tougher then the rest, is facing Hrothgar, enraged by the decapitation.

Hrothgar looks the gnoll in the eyes and laughs, shaking the blood from his axe "Got some more left! Come get some!" he roars in dwarven.

Alysuil again tries jabbing at the gnolls from the second rank having difficulty attacking them from around her companions.

(ooc, if I had physical dice I would put my d20 in the corner of the table and say insulting things to it!)

Otikas will remain in the back, cowering behind protecting the pack animal and supplies.

DH, what rule are you using for firing a ranged weapon into melee? For instance, if Otikas wanted to chuck a dart at a gnoll, who is fighting Hrothgar...

If you roll a 1, I would roll a D20 to see if you actually hit the dwarf....

Wolf steps up, grips his mace a little tighter and swings for all he's worth.
To Hit (Mace +1): [1d20+2] = 14+2 = 16 for Damage (Mace +1): [1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8

He grins as he hears and feels the mace connect solidly.

Okay! Ushnab will attack any of the gnolls that he can reach with his scimitar.
To Hit with Scimitar: [1d20] = 2, damage: [1d8] = 3

If I need to roll for a second attack:
To Hit with Scimitar: [1d20] = 12, damage: [1d8] = 6

Or a third attack:
To Hit with Scimitar: [1d20] = 12, damage: [1d8] = 1

I expect Ushnab to keep on fighting until it's all over, one way or another.

Logan smiles widely as he sees he has drawn first blood against his opponent.
He jabs again, hoping to finish the beast off.

The leader of the pack hits the Dwarf with his sword, doing 7hp of damage.

The 2nd gnoll misses, and the third, wounded Gnoll almost hits Logan.

Logan in response guts the wounded Gnoll, who falls quite dead.

The rest of the party misses, ranging from wild misses to near competency.



The Gnolls press their attack even though the are outnumbered.


Two unharmed Gnolls remain.

Trying to stay calm and refrain from frustration, Alysuil, dances around the surly dwarf and presses the attack, her spear lashing out like the stinger of a scorpion at another of the Gnolls!

Ushnab: "If possible, I'd like to take one of these gnolls prisoner. They don't need to be entirely intact or anything. Just able to answer questions. Gnolls travel in packs, usually. They're raiders. There might be a larger group out here and these might just be a few scouts. Interrogating the thing might give us fore-warning of any other gnolls out and about in the area. It's always more favorable to be the hunter than the hunted. If there are more gnolls around here, it might be a good idea to learn all we can about them and see if we can't wipe them out. Besides I need more practice with this blade....all too obviously..."

I believe our DM should have tools to transfer the character (I've had it done for me in another game on this site).

Hrothgar checks the two gnoll bodies nearby for signs of life while keeping his eyes on the tree line "Well fought, my friends! Nothing like a little exercise on open ground to get your blood up!" he says, laughing. "Truth be told, that got me a little thirsty. Anyone else up for a quick ale and on our way?"

He looks about at the party and the pack animals with a sheepish look "Everyone okay? Anyone get dinged up?" he says, seemingly embarrassed at his manners.
