sorry yes Joven will do so in the same spot as Ruk but during daylight morning or afternoon is both fine.Rukellian wrote:To be more specific then, in light of this information, Ruken will be guarding the southern path behind the healer's building, #4 on the map, facing the cave's direction. He will still be on the outskirts of the town, but still close enough to run back and warn the people if something is found advancing.
Ruken will explain to the group how he will try and keep watch for the whole night, and where he will be. In order to accomplish that, the gnome will go to bed early so that he will be alert for his watch.

OK Rufus's home is on the western part of town in the area out beyond and between buildings 5 and 6.
I want to wait to hear form greg, oralorn, and letholdus before moving forward

Letholdus will take part in the watch.
Re: The adventure begins
Ruken will probably be starting his watch when I am away at work, so here is a batch of rolls for multiple scenarios that may occur.
[1d100] = 98 [1d20] = 18 [1d10] = 9[1d6] = 6 [1d4+1] = 3+1 = 4
Will post as soon as I can after work!

If we don't hear from antman I will NPC him to do his healing and he will miss out on any guard plan.

Re: The adventure begins
Oralorn will keep to his studies and stand a post when needed. Thoughts of replenishing supplies has not yet occurred to him in his newly found maimed state.
His wits are slow in returning as he comes to grips with the true price of the adventuring life style. Perhaps the price of greater power is a cost too high to pay? Perhaps the stories of high adventure are just that - stories.
Mulling over the options and recent experiences and comrades made anew - the answer becomes increasing clearer. An almost loving caress of the pages of his spellbook draws a final massage of the bodily price paid in fill on the journey to magical competence and awe that the gleam in his eye returns to reveal....

Re: The adventure begins
jovan stands guard throughout the day and letholdus relieves him around 4 pm.
Ruk relieves letholdus around 9
11 pm to stand guard the remainder of the night while the others rest at Rufus home.
His home is a large 2 story structure with 4 bedrooms. he and his wife in one and Roland in the other. the party gets to share the other 2. You have a dinner of warm bread and wild rabbit stew that is spiced perfectly.
You all settle in for the night in actual warm beds.
I need everyone but ruk to make a wisdom check adding 4 to your roll.

I'm going to be leaving for work soon. Here is a batch of rolls in case I miss out on any action.

Saving Throws [1d20+1] = 7+1 = 8 [1d20+4] = 20+4 = 24
[1d100] = 50 [1d20] = 19 [1d10] = 7 [1d6] = 4 [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5
Saving Throws [1d20+1] = 15+1 = 16 [1d20+4] = 9+4 = 13
[1d100] = 30 [1d20] = 16 [1d10] = 5 [1d6] = 1 [1d4+1] = 2+1 = 3

Re: The adventure begins
I will go ahead and move ahead without oralorn and gregs rolls since you 2 passed.
You are caught in a cloud and can't breath on matter how hard you try. you struggle but can go no where, suddenly your body twitch and you wake up. You begin coughing and notice smoke filing the room, you hear the crackle of fire.

Re: The adventure begins
Joven "FIRE! Everyone get out now!" then Joven grabs his things and starts to making sure Rufus, Roland and his Wife make it out of the building. He'll run to each room and make sure they are out then leave the building himself.

Not sure where everyone is at the moment so Oralorn will follow the group after grabbing his equipment to stand ready to react to the next surprise.

Re: The adventure begins
Letholdus grabs his gear and makes for any exit: a door or window will do (assuming he's on the ground floor). Once outside, he surveys the scene.
Re: The adventure begins
You grab your things and quickly get out of your rooms. you run into roland who is in his nightshirt and holding his bow.
what's happening he says sleepily
quickly you move the rufus room and find he and his wife are still asleep. you quickly wake them and usher everyone out of the home.
when you get outside you see the north side of the house (the side your rooms were on) are on fire.
Rufus's wife is acting hysterical screaming about her home burning.
You see neighbors exiting their homes when someone calls for buckets.
people start gathering and moving buckets to the well and back as quickly as they can.
it takes an hour to put out the flame and by the time it is all said and done there is little remaining of the home.
Rufus's wife sits sobbing and roland stands watching in shock. there is murmuring amoung the townspeople
it's the strangers
they stirred up the demon and left the job undone
they will burn all our homes with hell fire
we had little but now we will have nothing not even homes
they have doomed us
the den of people and accusations begin to rise and grow in anger.
