Well, I have several who are interested over on the KenzerCo boards, but no one has shown up here yet. Had a couple o' players on Macray's Keep. Suppose I should check in there.

Sweet, I'm in!

I guess that explains why nobody was posting here!

As I mentioned at K&C, I've got a doc/brewer, a lady gambler, and a carpenter, all townies.

So, is this going to be a traditional adventuring party-style, or more like everyone for themselves?

Well, there will be three PC factions that will likely cooperate with one another. It'll be like running three parties at once, the paths of which may or may not cross.

Sounds ambitious.
Just for fun, I rolled up a cowboy, but I'm leaning toward the doc. I'll need help with equipment, though, as much of what he wants isn't in the book.

You say it isn't in the book? What do you have in mind?

Look forward in playing with you all, made a jack-of-many-trades, since I don't know quite what direction the game is headed.

You'll note there are prescription scales, but nothing in the list that's sold by weight! I'd like some common prescriptions and exam equipment, a chemistry set, and brewing/distilling gear.

I suppose it really comes down to what level of detail you like. We could price and inventory everything, or come up with a simpler system. Maybe I could buy prescriptions at a generic price, and how many I buy determines my chances of having what the customer needs.

As for brewing, I'd like enough equipment to make a small batch of beer or spirits, ingredients for perhaps a dozen batches, and a handful of empty kegs.

Of course, whether I can afford all this or not is another question.

Bloodymage has my only sanctioned character death, so I am making a backup or two. He could have mellowed in 5 years :P

After some thought, this won't be as big an issue right away. I was going to take Inheritance, but have decided I'd rather put the points into Medicine, as it's a bloody expensive skill to get good at. So, I won't have a lot of money to spare. I would, though, like to buy a few hard to find items. Maybe metal fittings for a still, valves for brewing, and a handful of chemistry implements. I don't really know what the Doc would need, but he'd know what items are necessary but hard to get.

By way of explanation, he's starting as a doc, but brews/distills as a hobby, and will likely end up as an apothecary/snake oil maker in addition. I'll finish up the details and send the character sheet shortly.

BTW, does the doctor bag in the equipment list come stocked? If not, it's awfully expensive!

Doctor's bag is stocked with necessary and usual equipment, but no consumables.

I will be one of the plum broke prospectors, looks like I will have to sell other services in town to raise the money to even get the basics, but that makes it fun.

We allowed to post yet, if there are posts directed to us, and would you like us to post them in the eventual threads, and not the welcome ones?

Count up wheel

A while ago, my GM wanted a count tracker that he could clip to his screen that would read from both sides. Maybe something wheel based, like those Magic life counters, but big enough to read across the table, and two sided. My first though was that you couldn't do it, because the tens and ones places would be transposed on the back side. But yesterday, while doing something completely unrelated, I figured it out. Who wants one?

Yes, I know, I am a genius.

Sorry guys. Life's just kickin' me in the but these days and I can be terribly distracted, but I've put a lot into this and more is coming. Patience grasshoppers!
