Bayard hears Albertus, sees him approach the goblin, hand reaching for flail. The suspicious Brother Bayard leaps forward to intervene.

Bayard please declare action and roll if necessary.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the caves an ogrillon lies dead. The hogtied human is struggling in his bonds. Up close you see he is bruised and weakened.

Boddin slinks down the south corridor. It extends some 30' into what appears to be a storeroom (see map.) There is a motley collection of equipment and goods. Perhaps stolen by the goblins, the hobbit thinks. Locked bars block the entrance.

Boddin hears Foracor encouraging the others to regroup with the party.

"Oh my!" exclaims the hobbit to himself. "I was so concerned about the passageway I completely ignored that poor man the brute was attacking! Boddin, you are a fool of a Sanderbatch!"

He rushes back to untie the man.

Bayard

Bayard steps in front of Albertus, his quarterstaff preceding him.

"Albertus, the goblin is not subject to your capricious whim. Step back. If aid is so urgent elsewhere, you should go there now yourself."

[Dizlexus]

Fingal quickly loots the Orgillion and whispers to Boddin, down the hall: Come on. Let's get back

He will then follow Foracor back to join the others.

[Dizlexus]

Foracor

Let's go guys. We just made allot of noise. Safety in numbers.

He heads back to where the Priests and goblin are.

***Albertus, Caves***

Nodding his head in agreement, Albetus turns from Bayard and the goblin than heads back to where the sounds of the rest of the party were heard. Stopping for a moment he looks back at the other cleric. "You letting that evil beast go is like letting a murderer escape justice. It will kill again and the blood of it's victims will fall on account of you Bayard."

The group is heading back toward the entrance right?

Eli will drag the goblin out of the entrance and into the brush and dump him still tied and gagged.

I said I would not kill you, I didn't say I would make it easy.

Finally stanching the trickle of blood from his battered nose, and occasionally shaking his head in an effort to get rid of the floaty feeling, Niles briefly puts down his shield and sword, then pulls a dagger to loose - and ungag - his fellow man.

Fingal the thief finds 10 electrum pieces, a key, a bow, and quiver of arrows on the ogrilon.

Boddin and Niles tend to the hog-tied human. They cuts his bonds, give him water. "Thank you, my name is Zebcook. I was captured on the road."

Together they head back west and bump into Albertus the cleric heading east. Albertus notices Niles the fighter is quite wounded (5/17 HP.)

Eli the elf and Brother Bayard stay with the bound goblin. "Let me go!" it cries. "You said me free."

Eli and Bayard bring the goblin through the corridors to the outside entrance and along the way meet the rest of the group. The party is tense, wary, expecting the recent noise to attract visitors. The bound goblin revealed useful information should it be true. It relates to some of the rumors heard at the Keep, the adventurers realize.

"Niles,"Albertus calls out as he runs into him. "Wait one."Placing his hand on Niles' forehead, Alberuts ask his god that this man be healed of his wounds.

RECONSOLIDATION

Foracor encounters Ely and Bayard and the Goblin and asks them to stop.

I need a friend. Foracor says, Allow me please . . .

Foracor casts Charm Person on the Goblin.

If it works, Foarcor will name the Goblin Benne [Benny] and have him tag along while working as a porter, of course.

Fingal secures the eastern passage wary of approaching company while Foracor tries a spell.

Albertus the cleric pauses for a moment, concentrating on Niles' injuries. The fighter feels a warmth about the wounds and sees the cuts clear, skin stitch, flesh regrow. He feels considerably better (6 HP gained, 11/17)

The elves Foracor and Eli confer. The fourth son of Ferestivian of the High Trees intones words of sorcererous power while tracing a quick pattern in the air in front of the goblin. The creature smiles at Foracor and says "it is good to see you."

Foracor feels confident the Charm spell was successful.

"Where would we go now? Southeast seems safer, as goblins shouldn't be the biggest threat. They still can be dangerous in numbers, but if we advance cautiously and take them down one by one, we can make our way through the cave, maybe find some useful gear or information that will help us defeat the orcs and the wizard."

"Now that we are all together, it is best that we move as such. I agree with you, Wulfhart that Southeast is a good place to continue our journey." Securing his flail and shield, Albertus lifts up the torch and using its flickering light he scans into the darkness of the tunnels.
