I'm fine with that substitution, yes.

Rather than give you a map to a nearby treasure, I'll give you a map of the ruined city of Sotur, up the coast from Blackspell. You know the city was destroyed in a wizard duel, and the survivors left most everything behind. The city is a ruin now, but you may be able to find things of value within following this map, if you can avoid the current inhabitants, whatever they are. Sane people avoid the ruins because the area has never been the same since the city feel.

Works for me. I think the only thing my character needs at this point is a HP roll.

Ah yes, sorry.

With max HP at lvl 1, and a -1/lvl HP adjustment, he gets 16 hp.

If you want to insert yourself on the boat and join the thread right away, you're welcome to, or wait until they get to an inn, if you prefer.

Todd, looks good, but you are technically 4th level, about to go up to 5th. For the HQ gear, specify which kind of +1 it's getting... If it is a +1 to damage or to hit for the weapons, +1 to AC or encumbrance for the armor. It can be both, but you would need to multiply cost by 100x rather than 10x, and I don't think you gaffe that kind of money at this point...

Somehow, for me, it's still showing up the same (at least XP/level stuff) are you sure you saved the update?

Everyone... I'm not sure the proficiencies on your character sheets are right... I think many of you are selling yourselves a little short. For 5th level, you should have 2 class proficiencies and 2 general proficiencies, plus general proficiency bonuses from intelligence. Adventuring proficiency, though mentioned in the list, is a special offer that you all have free. It covers things like being able to do usual adventurer stuff (camping, taking care of weapons, searching for secret doors, etc.) If you selected that one, you have one more coming to you.

Mages get the second class proficiency at level 6 and I want to leave the last general choice open.

Yep, I had indeed shorted myself 1 general proficiency. Picked up Riding (horse) and added the free Adventuring. Think I'd always just assumed everyone had adventuring without putting it on the character sheet, but probably best to be explicit.
