As the four of them get closer and hear the scream, Abel announces, "Umm guys, that vegetation climbing up over to the wreckage is some form of massive vine... and it's covered with hundreds of fist sized mouths that look like Venus flytraps!"

He then catches more movement to his right. "Through the smoke, about a hundred yards to the east. Two men are running toward the ship, swords drawn. Looks like they haven't seen us..."

OOC: sorry for the lateness here, TC & gang. Meant to get this posted last night but was working until after midnight and up again at 6:00am for an early cut!

"The Goosh thought that Earthy plants were supposed to be harmless?" The goop pile is genuinely confused as id points towards the grass right next to the groups and the trees nearby. Looking up at the vine attacking the crashed landed item of interest, the Goosh asks out loud, "do you peoples think that a bolt shooter could take it down?"

As you discuss sticking pins in mass of vines that apparently have no central body or "stalk" a ball of fire erupts from beyond the wrecked ship and the plants tremble violently before seeming to become disinterested in the ship and begins moving in the direction of the blaSt. Away from your group.

Goosh Goosh lets out a squeaky toy noise and moves all excitedly. It's obvious that the Goosh wishes to get a closer look and see what's going on!

Shawn attempts to look unphased by thr vine and fails miserably, noticing te two running to the wreck, he begins to run as well.
"Last one there gets the butt end of the worm." He shouts the nonsense as he breaks into the run determined to beat the other two to the crash.

"Be careful, Shawn!" cries Abel as he sees his new companion b-line for the wreckage with a winner-take-all look to his visage. "Make sure any survivors of that crash aren't hostile!"

Although he doubts it will do much good versus the vine monster, Abel keeps an arrow loaded and ready nonetheless. Using his Heightened Vision, he attempts to discern if the ball of fire came from one of two men he saw running towards the crash site from their east.
"Wish I had a fireball," he opines aloud as he tries to see how close the vines are from reaching them.

The ball did infact come from one of them.
