Add your new HP to your max and current.

8/12 would then be 12/16 with +4 at 2nd level.

Fearghus, I don't believe Brezebar ever got the scrolls promised him by the other magician.

Wow, my face flushed with embarrassment when you said that. I have some of the posts prepared in advance, so I copy and paste them over from other documents. I was thinking I forgot to add that part. Check here. I neglected to bold and underline Brezebar's name initially. I have edited the post to do so so it sticks out to read.

They are passwall, detect invisible, and detect evil.

The blacksmith broke the pad lock, allowing Vane to take the small chest to a secure location and count his earnings: exactly 300 silver pieces.

Ah, I see what happened. I scanned down till I saw Brezebar's name in bold.

Kargoth puts his hammer through the wooden lid. It takes a moment to retrieve the instrument of divine destruction. Once out the wooden remains of the lid are withdrawn along with a few robes made of linen dyed black. Beneath the robes is a single book.

Vane thinks he can hear something. A gentle echo in the direction of deeper under the ground. The rhythmic step of heavy boots on stone with the jingle of armor.

Actions!
Forgive my confusion, but what is the instrument of divine destruction Kargoth takes out? Is that the book or someting different?

His warhammer. My apologies for being unclear. He smashes his hammer into the chest, pulls it out, leaves a massive hole in the chest, etc etc.

Fearghus wrote:For the sake of forward progression of the game. With Lorcan and his minions dead, the duergar advance on Allathurion is defeated. Their key to success was the taking of Leothric and that was coordinated through Lorcan, and potentially, Gilseax. Not to say the duergar threat is removed, as they will now exist in the surrounding area, but not as a mobilized army. The option remains to marshal a force and meet the duergar head-on, but the Lawful characters can consider their task complete at this point. My main reason for continuing to present the journey to the first outpost was to allow you to search the barracks and Lorcan's chamber in order to receive the wealth that should have been on their bodies once defeated.
So I understand it, the immediate threat of a Dark One invasion is defeated. Their forces are scattered. The City Below remains, as do the tunnels under Allathurion.

I suggest a three-prong strategy:
1) We accompany a force of miners (or bring magical explosives provided by the good magician) down into the tunnel complex and systematically close off all tunnels except one;
2) Go back to Lorcan's chamber and duergar barracks to complete our interrupted ransacking;
3) Continue deeper into the tunnels to slay evil.

Upon our return, we collapse the last tunnel behind us.

Thoughts?

sounds good to me as well. vane has some random acts of kindness to take care of and will do a little eaves dropping. if the stuff for collapsing the tunnels can be procured, we could head back down after a nights rest?

Not a problem. The tunneling was hasty with simple supports and beams, so destroying them should not take significant effort.
