After two years of imprisonment on the Plane of Law, the adventurers are returned home. They find themselves on a small mountain top. To the east is a peaceful village.



To the west a strange... standing stone?



To the north a large lake with a village along its shore



To the south, far away, is the Keep on the Borderlands. Is that a second spire of another tower? That wasn't there before.

The adventurers wander over to the east where there is a seemingly peaceful village


Inside the tavern...

...they are recruited to help find the village's missing children.

Up to the old cave of the Satanists...


The altar-stone bears inscriptions...


Just then, the whole sun-lit sky suddenly turns gray and fuzzy with shimmering dots and lines...


Past hollow-skulled statue and infernal palindromes, the adventurers come upon a great hall...

From the book on the altar rises...

a fearsome half-realized poorly conceived Terror!



Its attacks turn the adventurers to ink, paper and squiqly lines!

Asherrion is absorbed into the inky terror


The book is finally thrown into the fiery pit...

...and the creature destroyed.

Treasure is found in the catacombs, but also...




Their numbers are overwhelming...

The party retreats.

In the Great Hall with is walls depicting debauchery and blasphemies undescribable, Sleestak the lizardman shaman uses his two-dimensional state to merge into the walls.



Something is coalescing. This is new, for each sight thus far has been two-dimensional and static.

And shifting into color for the first time...

A man emerges from the chiaroscuro confusion, slashing killing maiming dismembering...



engorging, sodomizing, devouring, absorbing...





and looking at Sleestak, realizing the lizardman is there.



Sleestak is possessed and returns to the party. He makes the ultimate sacrifice and kills himself so the devil-being will not be unleashed on the party.

Only Asherrion came, head-to-head with the walking phallus creature, an alien with mental wavelengths that caused the orgy. One of those you-had-to-be-there moments.
