The rubble is just from the walls, ...

As you approach, you see movement, you see Six (6) giant centipedes come out to attack!

Ok everyone, tell me your moves, and roll a attack. Someone also needs to roll the parties initiative. There is no surprise.

The centipedes are in the rubble and headed towards the party (The map is correct.)

Though Rukellian is in the back, he readies his shield. He figures that if anyone needs to retreat back into the secret entrance, he can block some attacks with his shield. And for what its worth, he has his iron rolling pin at the ready!

Stay by me. Attack anything that gets too close, Agathon instructs Hurtag.

Agathon readies his sling, and will attack the nearest centipede he can hit with a clear shot (if any).

Initiative [1d6] = 1 OOC: D'oh! Sorry guys!

To hit with sling (short range) [1d20] = 14+1

Damage with sling [1d4] = 3

Lorde is caught completely by surprise at the sudden appearance of the gaint bugs.
He looks down at his sword and then back at the centipedes, he repeats this serveral times before sheathing his sword and rushing to the back of the group, behind Rukellian.

As he runs by he taps the cleric's raised shield. "Good idea buddy, I think I can use this." The noble-men will take cover behind Rukellian the man child and attempt to load his crossbow.

Behrun fires his arrow at the horrible crawlers, Ranged Attack Roll: [1d20+2] = 10+2 = 12

In case the arrow hits, [1d6] = 6

He will unsheathe his sword and move to the front after he has fired an arrow.

Seeing the vermin crawl out of the pile of rubble, Gorek snarls. Readying his axe, he swings at one of the crawling insects.

Gorek gets a +1 to hit and damage from his Strength modifier.
[1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20

Damage:
[1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

"Take THAT you nasty buggers!!!"

The Narrow Hall limits the who can be attacked...

Cent - 1 - Attacks Luna - Hits
Cent - 2 - Attacks Gorek Grimthunder - misses badly
Cent - 3 - Attacks Luna - Hits
Cent - 4 - Attacks Gorek Grimthunder - Misses
Cent -5 - Attacks Behrun - Hits
Cent - 6 - - Attacks Behrun - Misses

Luna - make 2 saving throws vs. Poison.
Behrun - Make 1 saving throws vs. Poison.

Gorek slays Cent -2
Bahrun slays cent -6
Agathon badly hurts Cent -1

Round 2

There is 3 full health Giant centipedes, and 1 badly hurt centipede.

If Behrun or Luna fail a saving throw, they will become violently ill, and unable to take actions.

Behrun attempts to not succumb to the effects of the poison, Saving Throw: [1d20] = 8, but fails and instead begins to cough up his earlier meal (presuming the roll was failure).

Agathon loads another sling bullet, and tries to put down Centipede 1 if possible, or any other centipede in range if not.

To hit with sling (short range) [1d20] = 15+1

Damage with sling [1d4] = 1

OOC: I'm not rolling initiative again!

Rukellian will continue to brace himself behind his shield, while giving Lorde enough room to maneuver his ranged attacks.

Well, since no one rolling Initiative, and I want to keep this moving, I am taking the old roll as it.

Agathon kills the wounded Centipede, The Centipedes thankfully miss as both Luna and Behrun compete for high velocity illness.

the party is facing 3 centipedes and remember, if you want your hirelings to fight, you must give orders ;)

Doh! Completely forgot that the hirelings were under our control. Usually I just see them NPCed.

"Bardoon! Behrun and Luna don't look too well, see if you can back them up," Rukellian exclaims after the centipedes miss their targets. Raising his shield he adds, "don't worry, I'll be fine as long as I'm behind this and not in front of it," he says all the while laughing.

Agathon will again launch a sling bullet at the nearest centipede.

Initiative [1d6] = 4

To hit with sling (short range) [1d20] = 2+1

Won't bother with damage....

Once again, Gorek attacks the creepy-crawlys with his axe.

To hit: [1d20+1] = 4+1 = 5, damage with axe: [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4

...and once again, Gorek misses.

OOC: I've saved a macro that has both to-hit and damage rolls in it, so both will be on my post even when the to-hit roll is a miss.
