1:10 chance for a minimum of 7 damage and he still survives.

Yeah, that wa the perfect set up!
Do you have Acrobatics? Because the guards turning, hefting the weapons as warding sticks, keeping distance, making space... And getting a spinectomy for twir trouble anyway would be pretty awesome.

I have!
Though I am not sure if I get the backstab bonus for a successful acrobatics check for all my cleave attempts...

Thirdkingdom, do I get an acrobatics check for each cleave if I didnt move during my round? That would be wicked!

Overwhelmed at work, guys. I'll try and get the next round rolled out in the morning, but it likely won't be until tomorrow evening. Sorry about that.

Fearghus, I'll get the XP stuff sorted out at the next available opportunity.

So, uh, guys, now might be a pretty good time to decide on a marching order and post it in the "Standard Operating Procedures" thread. It would be a good idea to vote up an order for both double and single file -- don't forget the henchmen! -- and please note who is carrying light sources!

Thanks.

Hmm. Well, I'm always paranoid so I like to have additional armor and spear support in the rear, but I trust you all are more reasonable and less silly?

We could pull that off with single file, actually, Kaa to the rear. With only 15 HP – but supported by a witch and warlock – she could hold the rear while everyone else shuffles, but would fare poorly in front.

Last time, single file, we did:

Harald-Styr-Pesha-Tychon-Kaa-Babu

Should we keep this single file PC order, and add in the henchmen? Maybe...

Harald-Styr-Pesha-Adtas-Ishanter-Tychon-Mordred-Kaa-Kondo-Babu?

This puts our spears all in the back, but it does give us a decent rear guard.

A couple of spears in the second rank wouldn't hurt...

Yeah, if we move the spears around, we could put, say, Kondo in the very rear with spear support and move someone up. Kaa has some nice damage output so if our front line is strong on defense she can make up for any lacking.

I'm trying to parse formation using 3.5 grid rules, and it's messing me up...

For double line, we could go with

Styr-Harald
Kaa-Babu
Tychon-Pesha

I'm not sure about Adtas, Ishanter, Mordred though. Kondo likewise, and we will want room for heavies to move into place if we send Pesha and Styr scouting.

I'm ok with Hrafn's ideas for marching order. Just throw the other guys in the back.

So, uh, it sounds like Kaa is getting ready to burn the joint down. Is everyone else cool with this?

I'm for following the cellar tunnel first, but having the place ready to light up if need be.

I'm in favor, but I don't want to be down there when it gets dark. We marched all day to get here, remember?

Just dousing things for now, since it is highly possible we could go through te cave and have to come back up!

But committed to using the house as a weapon, yes. Come nightfall we may have ensorceled minions and vampires to deal with, and Styr/harald's original 'burn the lot to the ground' is still our best idea for handling that. Boy will my face be red if we somehow corner and stake the beasts without lighting anything on fire!

Happy to go first but didn't know if it made sense to search for traps...

Forgot to mention that the walls of the shaft are fairly rough and easily descended by either a thief or another character using a rope. It appears to be natural (i.e. not carved or worked).
