Re: Lots of Running Down Corridors
The group treks back to the intersection and continues straight on (the original "right"). After about 20 metres, the corridor turns left, leading down a 10 metre deadend.cybersavant wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 8:07 am Rorexsth "then let's backtrack a smidge and take the right corridor."

Ben digs out his tools again and uses the more efficient method of searching he had earlier in finding his hidden door.

Rorexsth tries to use the sonic screwdriver to remove the panels from the wall in order to find a door. He fails, but he does discover something odd about the construction of this place...cybersavant wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 3:38 am Rorexsth holds out his sonic screwdriver and checks not just the end wall of the dead, but the two on either side as well
It appears to be metamorphic in nature, as if it could be restructured. The exact nature of how this would work will require more investigation.
For now, though, the trio is as the end of a dead end hallway.

Re: Lots of Running Down Corridors
This game seems to be powered by Story Points. Meaning, players should be prepared to use them often.
One use for them is to GET A CLUE FROM THE GM. Another is to USE A STORY POINT TO CHANGE THE STORY.
Basically, I think players are supposed to have their character do something that prompts the GM, who should adapt the story in the PC's favor.
For instance, although no one used a SP, I dropped a clue about the "metamorphic" nature of the corridors.
That being said, I think we are all bored of running down corridors...
If you all want to keep playing, I can end this and start an actual scenario soon. It's an adaptation of something you might recognize and roll your eyes at. Lol
Just have your characters do something and we will move forward.

I am good starting a scenario now.
"I will try mentally commanding a door to open."
She focuses for a moment on a door at the end of the hallway.

Re: Lots of Running Down Corridors
The trio stare the end of the hallway, Rosa furrowing her brow in concentration.
But nothing happens.
When they turn to discuss what to do next, they see the hallway behind them has closed off...with a door where the hallway used to be.

Re: Lots of Running Down Corridors
Rorexsth "Well, that helped a lot." He walks over to the new door and uses his sonic screwdriver to lock it. Then he heads back to the dead end and fiddles with the fine tuning 2 SP before holding it up almost touching the wall and starts to slowly scan across it horizontally from one end to the other.

Ben "A bit weird, but I suppose if that is what you were trying for Rosa it worked." he moves over to see if Rorexsth and his screwdriver get it open.

Likewise, when he runs the sonic screwdriver across the blank wall, Rorexsth fails to unscrew anything.
BUT.... (Story points!)
The sonic emanations trigger something in the wall. (1SP to change the story) The wall shimmers and shifts before disappearing. Revealed behind the wall is another familiar corridor leading to another door.
Rorexsth recognizes this new door's structure. (1SP for a clue.) He has seen it many times before ...

Re: Lots of Running Down Corridors
Rorexsth stares for a few brief seconds. "Come on. We need to leave NOW!" He walks quickly down the new corridor toward the door, scanning it when he gets near.
