Heff examines the eastern wall then stands near Balam and the boarded up door.
Heff whispers to Balam, If this boarded up door leads outside then there must also be a lengthy drop to the ground... Say 40 feet?

I really need to improve my descriptions. The boarded door is on the eastern wall, opposite to the west unblocked door. BTW, there's a huge mistake in my descriptions because I didn't have the map in hands when you entered the house and I've been looking at it from the wrong side (how did I managed to do that? :lol: ). All descriptions are turned 90 degrees and all directions are wrong. We will keep it that way now, you just need to know that keeping the descriptions as they are, you entered the house from the southern wall, not the eastern as it should be. So the southern wall in your map is in fact the eastern (front) wall in the outdoors map.

Of course, if you guys wish, I may give the descriptions in the correct directions from now on. You just need to change the North in the map to West.

Balam makes brief mention of the door leading to the outside. It may have slipped out through here.

He then moves up to the unblocked door and gets ready for trouble.

Beato opens the door cautiously, but not enough. The door triggers a wired mechanism and an arrow is shot against the cleric who shows great reflexes avoiding what could be a deathly shot. The arrow still hits him in the shoulder, before falling to the ground.

The open door shows a small 10' square room. Inside it, four kobolds, their faces painted in blue, wait ready to attack, hammers in hand.

Balam backs up slightly to give his companions room and stands ready, waiting to cleave any kobolds coming out of the room.

Beato raises his shield to meet the kobolds, but will not move forward. Hold your position. he whispers to Balam and Heff, expecting the kobolds to come and meet them at the door.

The kobolds charge against Beato and Heff at the door. The halfling is again very quick, attacking first, but the monster is already waiting and avoids, trying a counter attack immediately, also fruitless. Another kobold goes against Beato, but his thick armor protects the cleric. Beato also tries to counter with his mace, but the little creature is quick enough to protect himself.

Seeing his friends in danger, Balam also joins the close combat, but with his friends in front of him, he can't make a clear strike.
Very low rolls. I rolled that Kobold 1, coming behind the front line of attack and rolling a natural 1, could not attack. Balam is also behind his friends and lost initiative compared to the other melees, receiving a -2 penalty in his attack roll (enemy covered). Kobold 3 stays closer the Hell and Beato, other two kobolds are very close too, and kobold 1 is trying to get his friends past.

Balam eagerly awaits an opportunity to join the fray, occasionally looking around to make sure nothing is creeping up on them from another direction. "Curse my wide arse...stuck in the back when there's blood to be shed..."

Beato will also try to reposition himself in a way that allows Balam to join. More specifically, he will try to step aside creating space for one of the kobolds to move forward, thus being surrounded by the three brave heroes.

Beato and Heff move into the room, leaving space for Balam to join and promptly strike the front kobold. The kobold avoids and tries to strike back, but the dwarven armor is strong enough. The kobold coming from behind is fast and almost gets Beato, but the cleric is unharmed, turning his attention to the other kobold near him. His mace finds the creature head in a deathly blow.

Heff has his own enemy, but is not able to hit him, who walks back after also missing his strike.

Balam is in the middle, Heff in the left, Beato in the right. One kobold stands for each hero. Dice is not helping any side :)

The fight goes on. Heff is very quick, killing his enemy with a fast swing of his blade. The kobold on the right tries to hammer Beato, but the strike is useless against the cleric thick metal armor.

Balam and the other kobold are both enraged, attacking each other. The kobold charges against the dwarf with a powerful hammer strike against his neck, just to have its life ended with a the dwarf strike buried in its head.

Beato attacks the remaining kobold, who avoids and retreats a few steps, still willing to fight.

Kobold 1 is the only one remaining.
