Here you go m'lady as he hands over the purse from the dead halfling to Lia for holding. I will take fine care of this sword. We can decide who becomes the permanent owner of the weapon once we return to town.

Brondulm believes there is another egress point to this room and starts looking for secret door on the northern wall of the room.
Will anyone help Brondulm look?
(Guess I was too slow - still discovered the secret door though hahaha)

While Faron seems distracted with the pile of skeleton bones, Ellith tries to pry the door open.

Sigh...

Let's change the procedure...

Regular doors will require OPEN DOORS roll.

Secret doors will require ROLEPLAY. How will the PC try to open it?

Lia

Lia didn't realize by her suggestion that she was volunteering to hold onto their findings, but she takes the proffered rewards carefully stowing it in her backpack for dividing up later.

Gromp, the doorman

Gromp examined the door, listened at it, felt for weak spots. Massaged a certain area. Licked it.

It has told me its secret,’ he announced.

The dwarf backed up, charged and shouldered the special spot.

To be precise, Lia is carrying a pouch with 18gp & 5 pp.
Cinders will take the dagger.
Brinna has the ail & Brondulm has the enchanted shortsword.

Lol

By "roleplay," I was thinking more along the lines of:

"I look for a pressure plate"
or
"I run my hands over it to find a hidden latch"...

But "HULK SMASH!" can work too, I guess. Sometimes.

Gromp, in a startling display of dwarven virility, inspects the secret door, then decides to ram his body into it! The door swings inward.....

Inside, the group sees a 10' by 10' room covered in cobwebs. In the center of the room is a smashed chest surrounded by coins.

Massaging and licking the door is some role play ;)

Gromp pulled short, wiping cobwebs from his face. He felt a little better after knocking down two doors down here, even if he couldn’t land a blow on a skeleton.

Think that chest is a trap? Can someone poke it?’

Brondulm

Immediately looks above Gromp to ensure that there are no spiders lurking above.

No spiders. The air is pretty stale, the room was shut tight for quite a while.

Brondulm

Moves cautiously into the room and past Gromp toward the chest and the pile of coins checking the floor with his sword. He then attempts to determine if there are any traps.

Myrrh

Myrrh moves into the room and searches it. Starting along the perimeter and going clockwise.

"Check to see if anything is hidden or lost in the coins maybe?"

The group finds nothing but coins. Hundreds of silver and copper.

Will they bag them up? Or leave them here to deal with later?

Cinders (npc)

"I have a large sack," Cinders says as she pulls it out of her pack.

Brondulm fills his pack to capacity, but Cinders is only about half full.

FYI, a small sack can hold 200 coins, and a large sack 600 coins.

Will the group take the coins and keep exploring?

Or keep the coins here for safekeeping?

Brinna suggests keeping the halfling body here if they are to keep exploring.
