Warlocks attack as Clerics. Clerics choose three weapon types at character creation. Have my warlock's weapon types been chosen? He's got a sword and dagger so presumably two have been chosen by default but wondering about the third.

Do I have to choose the third weapon now or can I wait? I might as well see if we come across a ranged weapon while in the dungeon.

You can wait. Same with skills.

Hey everyone. This looks like fun, and some interesting character choices too.

I've just updated my character sheet with a brief description and background info (and added a pic hidden by a spoiler tag) and updated the Combat info which was missing a few bits. Hopefully I've got it right.

EDIT: Also a name change

Did I miss a note? Should I go in and post a character sheet for my Cyclopskin?

*Click Reply on the character you want to use.
*Copy the character sheet.
*Create a topic titled "X's Character" with the "X" replaced by your name.
*Paste the copied character sheet in your topic.
*Name your character; everything else, including starting equipment, will be pregenerated.
*Profit
Check out the first part of the first post in the character pool thread (copied above)

Alright, there are currently five players, and I've heard interest from one or two more. We'll still stick to the scedule of starting middle of next week. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

The bad news is I'm headed to Buffalo for my son's hockey tournament next Wednesday. I'll be as active as I can but will be posting from my phone.

Can you explain the house rule shrodingers skills ?
1-where do we find the list of skills we can pick from ?
2-is it true that we do not have to select them now for the life of the character but we can pick them as needed and change them as needed ?

An example would be great.
thanks john

Skills can be found here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/29 ... --Hex-1723

Let's say you guys are rootling along when you come across a spectral figure that, rather than attacking, attempts to communicate in Mrtyu, the creaking, burbling language of dead things. No one in the party knows this language, but a PC with an open skill slot decides to spend it to speak the language.

Tl;dr, I wanted to give y'all some customization options.

I have a very important question. What are good owl-folk names?

So we can choose the skill on-the-fly, but once chosen we can't change it?

Behind the Curtains Exposition

Thanks to everyone who is playing! I'm running this game to test out some stuff I'm writing for a book on procedural (or random) dungeon generation. As I've been writing it I've been generating the dungeon and tweaking stuff as needed. To wit:

*This is a megadungeon, and there are general assumptions one can make about megadungeons, so keep that in mind.
*One of the things I'm doing is fiddling with the treasure tables to explicitly add unusual type treasure as standard: stuff like tapestries, statuary, books, etc. I'm still working on balancing that stuff out.

With the Caprini, I do not see anywhere on the sheet where it says which stat is aligned with the two psychic devotions.
It's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.
