Kit focuses on evasive maneuvers and getting them out of there. If a shot presents itself she will take it with the laser cannons under her control.

Clark swivels the turret and begins firing at the Hopper in the 4-o'clock position. He isn't expecting them to be able to do much damage to us through our shields, but is perversely grateful to finally have a chance at revenge against the annoying Squibs.

"ON IT!"

Kael puts the scope on automatic display in the bridge so everyone can see it and switches the station over to navigation.

He will start entering the jump coordinates, hopefully as soon as possible. Using a point, because its important.

Vale continues to bounce around the cabin. His Jedi mind comes to reflect upon the calm contentment of the pinball, like those in the game rooms of The Wheel.

Zuul dreams he is back in combat training, getting tossed repeatedly as his instructor shows the proper way to flip someone.

Kato feeling useless as usual in a space combat situation, looks for someplace to strap himself down.

Aboard the Nova Kestrel inside the massive ring of space junk and wrecked ships orbiting the Planet Korad; Elrood Sector


A strange space battle between a modified Ghtroc Light Frieghter, crewed by a team of NRI Agents and a quartet of Squib pilots working for a Crime Lord broke out in the ring of space junk and wrecked ships orbiting the planet Korad....

First, at the helm of the small Freighter, the albino Wookie Kit'katarra threw the ship into a series of tight turns and evasive maneuvers to make the ship harder to hit by the 4 modified 'asteroid hoppers' that moved deftly too and fro to attempt to avoid both space junk and for tactical purposes....

The Squib pilots cut loose blasts from their light laser cannons and while 3 missed entirely, the last managed to tag the New Republic Intelligence with a blast, though other than causing the ship to rock a bit from side to side, it seemed to have little effect....

Professor Clark maneuvered the Heavy Laser Turret, tracking one of the Hoppers and he cut loose a blast, only to swear as his blast JUST missed the quickly maneuvering little craft....

Next to Kit, Kael punched the coordinates he had just received into the Navicomputer and beginning the calculations to make a Hyperspace jump to the planet Alluvia.....

In the back, Kato belted himself into a seat as Zuul and Vale slowly slid this way and that along the floor of the Cabin.....

Kit keeps up the evasive maneuvers while trying to position the freighter for jump.

Clark curses and continues combat contra the craft of the cunning, crooked squibs.

Aboard the Nova Kestrel inside the massive ring of space junk and wrecked ships orbiting the Planet Korad; Elrood Sector


A strange battle was being fought at the outer edge of the ring of space junk and wrecked ships orbiting the Plantet Korad between a wildly maneuvering light freighter crewed by a team of New Republic Intel Agents and a quartet of small, highly maneuverable 'asteroid hoppers' piloted by members of a Squib criminal syndicate.....

Kit'katarra the white-furred Wookie pilot of the Nova Kestrel aimed the ship towards a 'window' in the space junk, to get free from the debris and the gravity well of the planet behind them and at the same time she threw the controls this way and that to try and throw off any shots coming from the annoying Squibs pursuing them. As she did so, she let out a half roar question to her co-pilot Kael who was working the navicomputer....

Plugging in the coordinates, he was looking at the navigation charts, doing his best to quickly plot the course so that they'd stay away from any 'mass shadows' that might end their hyperspace jump REAL quick......PLUS the jump was through the massive gas cloud known as 'The Drift' and this meant that a precise jump was required and then a series of smaller jumps after that, so plotting the course was tricky to say the least. Hearing his Wookie companion's roar/plea/demand for quickness, the Co-pilot just called back; "Almost there!"......

The highly nimble and quick Asteroid Hoppers easily kept up with the Ghtroc Freighter and each sent a series of blasts from their single Light Laser Cannon at it. The maneuvers that Kit was putting the ship through succeeded in ensuring that two of the blasts missed their target. One streaked past and out into the blackness of space, while the other hit a piece of space junk the Kestrel zipped around and 'under'. The other two blasts though managed to hit the ship and while one blast was absorbed by the shields with no issues, the other caused the ship to shudder and some of the lights to briefly flicker for a moment and a whining alarm/flashing light to ring/light up the cockpit letting Kit and Kael know the Shields were down.....

In the gun well of the Ghtroc Freighters Heavy Laser Cannon, after impressively cursing a chorus of the letter 'C', Professor Clark lined up on the Hopper that had just hit them and he sent a powerful blast back towards the Squib ship. He snarled in glee as his blast hit the little machine and sent parts of it flying and setting other parts of it briefly aflame as the pilot soon 'punched out' by opening the cockpit and using a small thruster pack on his space suit to clear the wreckage of his craft just a few scant moments before it impacted with a large hunk of space debris and became another permanent resident of the ring of wrecked ships and junk around Korad....

Vale had dreams/memories of being sick and nauseous when he was young, while Zuul had a delightful dream of bouncing on a low gravity moon. Kato sat strapped into his chair and closed his eyes and did his best to 'do what a Jedi would do in this situation'.....in other words, NOT to scream in terror/joy......


OOC: Okay, one more round until the Jump can be made, there are only 3 Hoppers left and the Shields are down....

Kit continues evasive maneuvers as she aims for the hole in the debris and freedom.

Kael tries to ignore the Shields Down Alarm and continue on finishing the plot.

"I think that's it!"

Clark summons his reserves and spins the turret around to fire on the remaining squibs [using a Force Point and targetting two ships if possible!].

Aboard the Nova Kestrel near the Planet Korad; Elrood Sector


A modified Ghtroc 720 Light Freighter burst out of a ring of space junk and wrecked ships, crewed by a team of New Republic Intelligence Agents and being pursued by a force of hostile 'Asteroid Hopper' Repulsorcraft, piloted by members of a Squib criminal syndicate....

The albino Wookie pilot of the NRI team threw the freighter this way and that in a series of evasive maneuvers as she flew the ship towards open space, so they could make the jump to lightspeed and be on their way to the newly discovered world of Alluuvia....

Professor Clark, sitting in the gun-well of the Heavy Laser turret that had been installed on the top of the ship, closed his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath and then opened his eyes and spun the weapon this way and that, firing a pair of extremely well-aimed bolts at the enemy craft. One was hit hard and immediately started to spin in a crazy manner before it became a brief fireball amidst the wreckage of other ships in the belt orbiting the planet Korad. His second blast clipped one of the other two Hoppers and while it didn't destroy the craft, it DID ensure that it's own laser cannon was knocked off line and fired off into the black void of space....

The last Hopper sent a blast towards the Kestrel, but Kit's wild maneuvers ensured that it was a near-miss as the Ghtroc seemed to spin JUST out of the line of fire at the last moment. At the co-pilot's statin, Kael yelled out "I think that's it!" and sure enough, the Navicomputer chirped that a course had been plotted and with a roar of relief and victory, Kit'katarra pulled the Hyperdrive lever back and a thousand stars transformed into white lines as the little ship leaped into Hyperspace.....

Many Hours Later:

Vale and Zuul came out of their stunned state as the NRI crew began the tedious process of making a dozen quick hyperspace jumps....followed by just enough time to plot the next jump and then repeat as they carefully made their way through the massive ionized gas cloud known as The Drift....

Finally, they came out of the last jump in a small star system with just a couple of small rocky planets and one bright blue one....Alluuvia....

As Kit brought the ship into orbit, Kael looked at the sensors and scanners and could tell that the world was 97% water with numerous rocky islands and coral reefs here and there. No signs of any advanced civilizations appeared on the initial scans of the planet....

"Can we scan for communications signals, or craft emissions? It doesn't look like there's a whole lot down there…

Kael continues to scan, he is a bit thrown off by the combat, but trying to be a crew member.

"is everyone ok?"

Kit will do a med check on everyone while in Hyperspace if possible.

Once there, she will try to keep the ship hidden in debris or whatever is available if at all possible while they scan.

Clark scans the area, looking for a good place for the ship to be set down (not too uneven, not too close to the water).
