Catching up
Very Late on Moonday, 17th day of Planting, 597
12th day since leaving Loftwick

Androgost (AC -6, HP 22/65, Armor 14/26) (Glowing Sword)
Qleceec (AC 1, HP 37/63) (Infravision about 2 hours remaining)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 35/53) (Slow Poison more than 5 hours)
Boff (AC 5, HP 49/61)
Hex (AC 0, HP 17/27, Armor 2/8)
Garrant (AC 3, HP 49/50, Armor 5/8) (Silence 15' Radius 4 remaining)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 18/26) (Torch)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 40/48) - (Panther!)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 17/21, Armor 4/8) (Improved Invisibility 1 remaining)

The group catches up on the threats that are around them. There are sounds of a number of individuals moving through the area to the south west of the groups position. This is perhaps the dark elves which Boff and Androgost comment "Make no mistake about it - they are waiting in the darkness to strike". In addition, Raffi mentions that there are "Genie-like" creatures just in the next room, "One looks like a large bald human and the other some kind of human shaped giant sized creature of fire. The duo were each carrying a large chest". Nah Olos mentions the blue wizard, he had travelled in the general direction of the "Genie's" but his current whereabouts are unknown.

The Web, Darkness and Silence 15' radius spells are still in effect.

Nah Olos whispers, "Much more of this and we won't be able to complete our mission. We need to scout the area, see where each exit goes, for our own safety. Why is the wizard here? I thought he went down a side tunnel."

Hex shrugs. We need to retreat and find somewhere safe to rest and recuperate. We cannot count on their mercy again and we are sorely out of options currently. We should head back the way we came and search for somewhere more defensible.

Androgost detests the idea of retreat but he also has to honor the lives of his comrades and the overall success of the mission. Even with that, it takes a few seconds to actually move away from combat.

"Let us decide on that then - defense now and preparations for a return to battle. Back the way came a short spell to find a suitable location to defend. Mindful of the movement to our southwest, we may not have many options but let us proceed"

Boff "Dunno what tha point is in fightin em. THey got us out numbered an out maneuvered. I hate suggestin it but maybe a strategic retreat is tha way ta go."

Fall back
Very Late on Moonday, 17th day of Planting, 597
12th day since leaving Loftwick

Androgost (AC -6, HP 30/65, Armor 14/26) (Glowing Sword)
Qleceec (AC 1, HP 42/63) (Infravision about 2 hours remaining)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 35/53) (Slow Poison more than 5 hours)
Boff (AC 5, HP 49/61)
Hex (AC 0, HP 17/27, Armor 2/8)
Garrant (AC 3, HP 49/50, Armor 5/8) (Silence 15' Radius 3 remaining)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 18/26) (Torch)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 40/48) - (Panther!)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 17/21, Armor 4/8)

Raffi becomes visible still carrying what remains of Siouxsie's possessions. Siouxsie is hoping to get the majority of her equipment and magic items back but remains in the panther form. The group seems to agree that retreat is the best option. Hex, Androgost and Boff seem to agree that heading toward where you as recently as a minute ago heard someone passing through is the way to travel. Qleceec suggests perhaps the cave that made him gasp and choke if whatever caused that could be cleared out.

Frannie casts her last CLW on Androgost
CLW [1d6+2]=6+2=8 (included above)

Panthera Siouxsie

The areas of silence and darkness hinder both groups. We should use that to our advantage. If sound is blocked and sight is blocked going towards the northeast caves then we should quickly sneak by the narrow portion of the overlapping circles while those advantages remain.

Boff "I'd be willin ta bet they train in darkness, hone their skills an what not. I hate admittin' it but it's a clever trainin method." he remarks in regards to the darkness and the dark elves.

Reverse Course
Very Late on Moonday, 17th day of Planting, 597
12th day since leaving Loftwick

Androgost (AC -6, HP 30/65, Armor 14/26) (Glowing Sword)
Qleceec (AC 1, HP 42/63) (Infravision about 2 hours remaining)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 35/53) (Slow Poison more than 5 hours)
Boff (AC 5, HP 49/61)
Hex (AC 0, HP 17/27, Armor 2/8)
Garrant (AC 3, HP 49/50, Armor 5/8) (Silence 15' Radius 2 remaining)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 18/26) (Torch)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 40/48) - (Panther!)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 17/21, Armor 4/8)

There is a healthy discussion with Siouxsie suggesting that they turn around and head for the darkness and silence fields to take adventage of them. Qleceec, Boff and Nah Olos agree with the leader Androgost being silent on the matter Garrant and Hex expressing caution noting that the drow seemed to like the darkenss, but the pair goes with the majority. The group heads back still using light from Androgost's sword and Frannie torch to allow the party to see. They get to the edge of the darkness and there is a decision to make does the group want to head north by northwest through the darkness (which they know it extends past), follow the right most wall and head to the south (which they also know is a direction) or attempt to cross the darkness to see what is straight across. Or of course some other option the characters would desire!
