Anton successfully persuades Honfezgalapad that you will be of use helping find the Zonamag Onderfott.

“A most generous offer,” the creature says with dripping admiration. “I will overlook your deceptive insult of claiming to know where the Zonamag Onderfott is located.



Your companion here,” acknowledging Anton, “has proven itself to be a kindred of sorts and appreciates my mission.”

Honfezgalapad tosses the metal ring aside and it flops on the ground. “I see that I no longer have need for this clutch. Please, proceed.” It gestures towards the cave mouth and follows your lead. The apemonn remain outside.

Beyond the cave entrance, the 20ft-wide tunnel becomes a uniform, yet cracked and weathered, remain of a passage made from artificial stone. Each side of the path drops into three-foot-deep troughs that run parallel to the track.

On approach to a side tunnel, you pass a two foot by five-foot block rising four inches above the floor. (near pink circle). A similar block, five feet longer, lies ahead in the entrance of a large chamber where a 20ft diameter by 10ft high silver metal cone sits on the floor.



The side passage has a flight of stairs that rises around a corner.

Denslow wonders why that would be irrelevant but shrugs it off. He suggests the side passage. May as well be thorough.

Anton presses the issue with his newfound "kin". "Our view from orbit could not penetrate the earth deeply enough to determine the precise resting place of the Zonamag Onderfott. Let's not waste time re-treading passages that have already been explored."

“You confuse me, quasi kindred,” states Honfezgalapad, halting its advance into the tunnel. “I assumed you understood the nature of the Zonamag Onderfott.” The creature makes a series of hand gestures until a blue, shimmering wave encapsulates its entire body.



“Now, tell me,” It asks with a deep booming voice, assuming a defensive posture. “Why have you come here!?”
