Cormag checks the closet to make sure it's truly empty. Assuming he lives through that :D he'll ask Tuurma What do you think? we can occupy one of these rooms and if discovered prematurely can act as if we were lovers unaware of anything beside themselves, or one of us could serve as a lookout upstairs, and stomp on the floor to let the other know that our prey is coming, and then come down to block the exit. Or stomp three times if it looks to be a trap. Speaking of which, we'd best see what's upstairs in any case, don't you think? If Turrma agrees, he'll move cautiously up the exterior staircase to see if the upper level is occupied.

Tuurma draws a deep sigh.

"Alright, let's do this. We go through the house first to make sure it's really deserted and then we do like you suggest, act like lovers if discovered. But no touching, please." She pauses a bit after that last remark just to make sure it's sinking in properly.

"I'd prefer if you are the one that stays downstairs and I'll do the running and stomping. When things get stressed up I tend to ehrm lose my temper a bit. As you might be aware of. I really hope we're doing the right thing here."

After the closet is confirmed empty (?), they'll both move upstairs to start checking the rooms up there.

The pretend lovers search the empty closet and the second floor completely, finding nothing concerning in either area.

With the serving girl Priscilla set to arrive with their target at sunset, all they can do now is plan and wait.

Any final actions before their arrival?

Cormag takes up his place is the room with the closet down stairs. He makes sure the closet door is open, in case he decides he wants to hide in it. Good hunting and good luck!

Tuurma gives her comrade a firm grip on his shoulder and says:

"Good luck friend, we'll need it."

Then she sits down on the upper floor, as comfortable as possible, by a window so she can get a good look on the street outside and see anyone approaching the main entrance.

Then it's just a long wait for the girl...

Murdering Priests For Goodness Sake

The duo decide to split up, with Cormag hiding in the ground floor closet, while Tuurma watches out the upper floor window in the direction of the temple.

As promised, a good while later, a short time after sunset, the Amazon spots a pretty young serving girl and a dark skinned man dressed in priests robes heading for the house.

She is confused to see them stop for a moment in the streets before entering the front door, especially when the priestly figure starts waving his hands around in the air in front of him momentarily.

When nothing else happens outside, the pair enter the front door. Through a crack in the closet door, Cormag sees the girl lay out a blanket on the floor exclaiming loudly. "So! HOW DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS?"

The Kelt becomes a little nervous when the dark skinned priest casually looks in his direction from the next room before then looking up, a horrifying grin crossing the smarmy priests face.

Actions?

Tuurma swears to herself silently while grinding her teeth. "Damnit!!"

OM, I seem to remember berserkers being good climbers and jumpers, but not sure on the numbers. Does Tuurma think she'd be safe jumping out of the window and landing outside in front of the building without damage? Would she be able to climb down quickly? I need to try to stir the priest's ambush tactics a bit here :)

Any class can jump out a window.

Berserkers can Jump, but a fall of more than 10 feet will result in damage. (it is probably 15 feet or so to the ground)

I suppose I would ask for a Test of Dexterity to see if she can roll out of it for something like that.

She can also Climb down the wall at normal speed, The "quickly" part might result in a check as well.

Okay, so she's in light armor, having no DX 16+ bonus to the roll, so that should be 8:12 if I read the rules correctly.

Tuurma stomps the prescribed three times before pushing herself out of the window opening and starting the climb down, half expecting to be impaled by multiple arrows while descending.

If possible, she tries to get a view over the area right in front of the house, were she will supposedly end up. Crawling with temple guards?

Climb test if needed (vs 8): [1d12]=1

:D

Cormag, alerted by the stomps from above, moves to the side of the entryway with his naked broadsword in hand. As the girl and priest enter the room, he continues to wait. The girl doesn't seem in immediate danger and he doesn't know if there is anyone following outside. He's waiting for Tuurma's appearance (or active danger to the girl) as his trigger for action.

Murdering Priests For Goodness Sake

When Cormag hears the three stomps on the floor above, he begins to wonder if this whole thing is a set-up of some kind. When he sees the desert Priest shove the young girl to the floor, the uncouth action enrages the hidden Kelt. Priscilla screams and tries to crawl away when the angred Priest stomps on her back, holding her down with his sandaled foot. "You'll get what's coming to you bitch, once I'm finished with these two."

Jak'n then spins around to face the spot where Cormag is hidden, clearly reciting a magical prayer in the fighters direction. Can I get a Save vs. Sorcery, please?

Still outside, Tuurma starts climbing down the rough wall, reaching the ground with little difficulty. She looks around expecting to see guards everywhere, but there is no sign whatsoever that this Priest is in cahoots with anyone else. She can hear talking and commotion coming from beyond the closed front door.

Cormag springs into action when he sees the priest pull the dagger and hears the words "these two", starting to jump forward to swing at the foul Priest! Assuming he makes it that far!

Tuurma swears as she sees the front door is closed.

If she thinks the door opens inwards and it's not obviously made of metal or extremely sturdy
She draws her sword, takes a few strides and then tries to get/break it open with her shoulder, hoping to catch the priest off guard, attacking him as soon as she sees him.

If she thinks the door opens outwards or if the door is very sturdy
She draws her sword and then opens the door with one hand standing by the side of the doorway so that the door will open but neither she or the people inside will see who's on the other side. Like if an assassin was waiting to backstab whoever was coming out of the door. She listens intently to what's going on inside to get any hint of what is happening. If the priest should come outside, she will of course attack him at first opportunity.

Quite possibly she will enter a rage? If so, the "break door and attack" will be the only option. Do I choose to enter a rage, does the GM or do I roll?

Lots of ifs and buts, but trying to account for different possibilities in order to move the action ahead.

The book states: A rage may be entered anytime during a battle... I guess that means she can bring it on herself once engaged with an enemy.

After hearing the voices inside, Tuurma hits the ground running, throwing her shoulder into the front door and breaking the latch easily on the first barge.

She sees some troubling things inside. The dark skinned priest is standing over the girl in the center of the main room with his foot on her back. Cormag is frozen in time, looking as though he was just about to charge the priest from the closet, but must have gotten caught in a spell, as he is no longer moving.

At the sound of the door smashing, the priest spins around to greet their uninvited guest, already reciting the words of his next prayer as the girl cries on the floor. Just before Tuurma rushes inside, the entire area around her is suddenly thrust into magical darkness, negating any and all light inside the room.

Here goes nothing... literally

Tuurma draws her big Amazonian sword in both hands as her forward momentum brings her into the main room of the mud-brick hovel. She takes in a single glimpse of our presumed quarry Jak'n and the girl Priscilla, along with the spell-bound Cormag, just before everything goes black! She is gripped by a momentary pang of startlement, but not quite fear. Fear of most things, even strange sorcery, has been banished from Tuurma's mind since she was a girl in far-off Panderos.

After only a moment's hesitation the lanky warrior snarls, "Coward!" and plunges into the inky darkness. Keeping her rage in check for now, she runs directly to where she last saw the priest, hoping he's not too nimble. A wide, horizontal slash should ensure Tuurma's sword connects with his body, whilst also missing the girl who's prone on the floor.

Blind attack is at -4, but if the priest is equally blind his AC is also 4 worse... either way the first blow is a miss. Hoping she'll make it to her two attacks next round !

Murdering Priests For Goodness Sake
Not A Great Start

Seeing Cormag frozen in his tracks by this dangerous adversary might have indicated that a full frontal assault is a poor strategy. However, once the lights go out, Tuurma tries the exact same thing.

Rushing across the floor along with her momentum, she swings her huge sword in a horizontal arc that should hit the disgusting priest, while avoiding the serving girl he has pinned to the floor under his foot. However, her strike does not connect with either in the blackness.

The muffled sounds of the young girl whimpering and struggling is suddenly heard, moving away towards where Cormag was standing near the open closet.

The priest can then be heard snickering from that area as well. "Oh, this is going to be such fun."

There is no counter attack from the darkness along with no indication that the man is praying for another spell yet, but Tuurma can still see absolutely nothing through the magical darkness that envelops the room.

Actions!

Only 58 more rounds to hold out RW.
Cormag (F2) FA:2 AC:4 19/19 HELD:58
Tuurma (B2) FA:2 AC:3 22/22

I will assume that if she is fighting with "both hands" that she is no longer employing her shield?

Yes, Tuurma is currently unshielded. Sorry I forgot to specify this in the first post:
Studded Armour + 1 for DX + 1 for class ability = AC 4 (and in darkness –4, for AC 8!)

And yes, the frontal attack seemed the best choice with what I'm guessing he would cast next... anyhow, if any of the below is unclear, let me know!

Tuurma growls in frustration as her steel meets only pitch-black air. But counting herself lucky that the wily priest hasn't tried more sorcery, she considers further options... such as taunting him in the Common tongue. "Fun you say? Not a mere coward, but a hypocrite too. What priest of the Sun hides in DARKNESS!?" Having spat out those words, the Amazon creeps to the nearest corner of the room (or if she felt she was near the center, she picks the rear left corner) to see if there's a pocket of light outside the spell's radius.

Once there, the Amazon listens for the movements of Jak'n and Priscilla, but she can already guess he's moving to do something nasty to Cormag. She puts one hand on the wall to her (left) to creep as quietly as possible, counting her paces, in a loop to their position – or just (left) of the closet door, if she no longer hears them. Once she thinks she's in place, she pauses to listen again for the girl's whimpering, or better yet, the priest's breathing or footfalls.
The hope being Jak'n would expect another attack from the front, where Tuurma's voice was last heard, but now it's coming from the side...

Once she hears the vile priest before her, she swings again – a more controlled blow, mindful this time that she might mistakenly hit her Keltic accomplice!

As Needed:
DX test 3:6 [1d6] = 6
Attribute check [3d6] = 9 vs. WS or CH 13
Hand and a Half (two-handed): [1d20+2] = 2+2 = 4 (18 hAC0); Damage [2d6+2]=8+2=10
