"It seems we are in agreement then."

Over the comm, "CHiP, can you get us any information on the potential area we will be headed."

Turning to Agent McGinley, "Your up, see what info you can get us, any special equipment, communication gear etc."

Agent McGinley

Agent McGinley pulls out a large map of Central and South America and points to a point (that I have place an red x on). "This is the location of the island. It is located between 550-600 miles off the coast of Peru. I could arrange for transport down area or Sidestep could take quite a number of jumps to get you all there. The island has always known to exist, but Peru has the island with no access since it is a national wildlife reserve and off limits to all. Recent satellite photos still show nothing there, but the particle emissions are strongest on the second tallest island." (labeled as 98m tall).

Sidestep

I am certainly willing to transport us all down there in a series of ‘ports. It’ll take a bit but it’ll still be far faster than flying and it doesn’t carry the need to tell lots of people what we’re doing and where we’re going.

"You seem the best choice for transportation to me. But we need at least some way to call for a back up way out in case something happens to you."

Agent McGinley

"I can get you a pair of adjoining rooms in the Hotel El Gran Marques in Trujillo, Peru. With several leap, Sidestep should be able to cover about 600 miles every minute or two and get you down there in no time. I will do my best to keep tabs on what military craft are near-by to offer as a place for Sidestep to teleport too for a quick exit. What time do you want to target getting there to the hotel? And then to get to the island? Where do you want to make your initial landing point on the island? Any other questions?"

"The leap details and decisions are yours Sidestep. Once we have that figured out we can start working on strategy for a recon mission."

I assume everyone would like to have some time to rest and prepare. Shall we plan to head out this evening aiming to get to the hotel after dusk. That should help cover our approach. Then we can do some recon on the island and make further plans.

"Sounds like a plan."

She will go to let her brother know she will be away for a little while.

Eclipse will let his family know that he's going away on a remote break for a few days, but will let his sister know that it's hero business.

(I'm not sure how he can get time off work, but he might have to quit and go self-employed again and survive on the hero wages.)

Umbra will ask his work for a few days off for a family emergency, and tell his family he is going away for a few days to the far east as a archaeologist to fill in for an associate who is ill.

I will not worry about the exact landing spots to get you to Trujillo, Peru. Once you are there you are one hop from the island. Where do you want to first land at on the island?

Umbra

"If the emissions are from the second tallest island we should choose an arrival spot that hides us from it. Do we know anything about dangerous plants or animals on it?"

"Do we have access to a topo map of the islands? If so we could try and place ourselves so there is a hill between us and the tallest island. It would only need to be taller than us."

Eclipse looks at the map and suggests a spot on the right hand island.

Rook is able to teleport the team members to the island one by one. The air is hot and humid and in the low 80's with gusts of wind up to 15 MPH. The island obviously has a volcanic origin. The 2m tall cactus are hiding the team from anyone for the time being.

How would you like to proceed?

If you head north there should be several locations that you see most of the 98m peak (at least the eastern side) on the other part of the island.
