Durgo

Durgo would yield to Wrathbone giving the two dwarves up front he draws his stows his shield and sword to get his bow.

Is Durgo able to fire his bow over the dwarves effectively and safely? This might be stow this round and draw bow next round and fire?

Cough, undead inside. 'Ware my friends.
Attacks w/sword & axe: Greybeard's axe main hand [1d20]=3, damage [1d6]=2
short sword attack off hand[1d20-2]=5-2=3, damage vs SM [1d6]=1

Seeing danger looming and his companions starting to fight, Genaromes delicately puts the weasel on his shoulder and starts to concentrate to invoke offensive arcane forces once again.

Magic missile damage [1d4+1]=4+1=5

[4d6]=15 vs INT 14

With limited room as the doorway bottlenecks passage, those holding the vanguard try to fend off the two Ghasts.

Wrathbone swings his halberd, a hack that might chop an ordinary ghoul in half, however these extra stinky rot brutes are tougher skinned and his edged blade merely grazes his opponent's skin.

Fydmar whirls dual handed, axe and sword. His axe gifted and silver edged, he has trained especially to throw it, indeed invoking a prayer to Moradin for a specific blessing should he hurl it at a chosen target you get a single +2 to hit bonus from the prayer.
Exactly what he needed, yay good dwarf saves! True though technically the roll should be scripted as Fydmar's Poison save vs 13+: [1d20+4] as that is modified by your Con bonus and the attribute can change.
Durgo I rolled you attacking over the dwarves heads.

Durgo: longbow [1d20+1]=9+1=10 [1d6+3]=5+3=8 [1d20+1]=20+1=21 [1d6+3]=3+3=6

-15hp, a staggering shaft that skewers one ghast backwards, followed up by an unerring blast of Magic Missile, -5hp. The barrage cuts one undead down, the second moves to attack.

Barrow Ghast: Wrath or Fyd? [1d2]=1
Barrow Ghast: claw, claw, [1d20]=15 [1d4]=2 [1d20]=12 [1d4]=4 bite (if clawed) [1d20]=19 [1d8]=1

It grabs one of the defenders, pulling the stalwart Wrathbone into the crypt and in a flurry of rending claw rakes and savage bites, begins to rend his meal, -7hp causing him to go unconscious and begin to bleed out.

Others rally to the scene, Bhelnus can take Wrathbone's place in melee and Brother Symeon will get to minister some healing if he can reach the victim in time.

next actions please and do remember any 'Easter Egg' bonus if neccessary.

Unable to cast a spell anymore, Genaromes stands behind his fighting companions and makes sure the weasel doesn't go near the ghastly monsters.

Wrathbone

Hangs limply in the Ghast's hands, glad that the paralyzing touch means he feels less pain. Now if he could only close his eyes to the fiend feasting upon him.

"Not the beard, not the beard!" are last thoughts going through his mind before passing out.

Fydmar
Help, he's got Wrathbone! Not wanting to possibly hit his friend if he hurls the axe, he sticks with dual wielding against the undead fiend, hoping he can get its attention away from finishing off Wrathbone. Come on ya fiend! Try me, I'm tastier!
Attacks w/sword & axe
Greybeard's axe main hand [1d20]=16, damage [1d6]=3

Bhelnus

Devra heth vok; voth oorg kveln etta glaek djor translated to common: Stay with us, we shall slay this evil beast!

Seeing the Ghast rendering Wrathbone into parts for a meal charges forward with the Azer's Assegai glowing red with wrath. Unfortunately, his blade misses the foul beast:

Assegai Melee To hit [1d20]=4; Damage vs. S/M [1d6+2]=1+2=3; vs. L [1d8+2]=5+2=7

His shield bash is not successful either:

Shield Bash To Hit:[1d20]=4

Durgo

Thanks DM for rolling for Durgo...

Durgo down to half his quiver of normal arrows decides to try his silvered arrows again firing over the shorter fighters up front while beckoning for the others to assit the downed champion dwarven fighter wrathbone, "Assist Wrathbone comrades. Those not assisting Wrathbone keep on the undead beast."

If Durgo can fire his bow without risk to the others, then he will... If not, he'll drop his bow and get shield and sword ready to shield bash and slash at the undead.

Bow attacks...

If he moves to melee, he'd eat his easter egg. If he does Range, he won't. He'd adjust his attacks if his action needs to be eating the egg before melee.

Shield and sword attacks...

Not wanting to possibly hit his friend if he hurls the axe,
I allow that at short range only, missiles can be thrown or loosed without fear of hitting a comrade. See House Rules note.

On the front foot, comrades charge, Fydmar valiantly trying to stop Wrathbone getting T-Boned, his attacks though bruise but not bludgeon or hack the thick-skinned grotesque. Bhelnus cannot follow up, he might throw up, Saving Throw vs Poison please or become penalised by nausea.

Durgo once more sends a volley of point blank shafts at the creature, whizzing arrows above the dwarves heads and striking the Ghast. -6hp

Brother Symeon cannot yet reach the beleaguered Wrathbone to heal him up

Brother Symeon: Turn Undead [1d20-1]=10-1=9, he tries to shout a rebuke but his words go unheard, unheeded.

Barrow Ghast: claw, claw, [1d20]=1 [1d4]=1 [1d20]=10 [1d4]=3 bite (if clawed) [1d20]=9 [1d8]=4

The ghast has limited opportunities. With the archer pincushioning him and slaying his undead kin, the Bearskinned warrior bulwarking the exit is the main concern and brushing aside the dwarves, the Ghast makes a break for the door. He barges into Durgo, -3hp raking him his a swipe of his hand.

Actions, as Wrathbone bleeds out a little more, -1hp, Durgo needs two saving throws, firstly one versus the nauseous stench emitted by the foul body odour and secondly to avoid and paralysis from the Ghast's chill touch.

Actions, attacks and saves please.

Seeing the ghast attempt to flee, Genaromes steps aside and positions himself next to the door, hidden as much as he can. He will use his staff to trip the undead, should it make it out of the room.

Poison save [1d20]=9 vs 14

Note sure what to roll for the tripping action.

Wrathbone

Wrathbone: Negative hp Constitution check vs 16 [3d6]=11 [4d6]=19 [5d6]=23

Failing his Constitution save while in negative hp, he cannot surge his dwarven resilience to stabilise himself and continues to bleed out.

-2/12hp.

Fydmar
Will mutter his prayer to Moridin & hurl the axe. Can't let this fiend escape to hound us again.
Throw Greybeards axe with Moridin prayer [1d20+5]=9+5=14; damage [1d6]=6 oh well.

Bhelnus

Is overcome by nausea caused by the ghast: Eats his Easter egg to avoid the noxious vapors of the Ghast SM are you ok if add the bonus free hand instead of fixing the macro and re-rolling? I completely forgot to use it.

Poison Saving Throw vs. 14 =[1d20+4]=8+4=12 +4 = 16

Not sure of the penalty for nausea but he pursues the retreating ghast catching it from behind as Gen trips it:

Assegai Melee To hit [1d20]=17; Damage vs. S/M [1d6+2]=4+2=6; vs. L [1d8+2]=3+2=5

Ghastly habits

Overwhelmed by nausea but not paralysis, Durgo can choke on his own vomit. He gets brushed aside by the fleeing brute but the Ghast cannot make good his escape,

Ghast trip: Dex check vs 12 [4d6]=11

despite navigating over the outstretched staff set to trip his ankles, it receives two simultaneously thrown weapons hurled with rear attack advantage that each hack into its spine. -12hp

It stumbles to its knees and Rickford & Duvall can enter the fray to try and finish the creature off.

Rickford and Duvall: Longspear melee: [1d20]=6[1d8]=6 [1d20]=4[1d8]=1

They seem affected by the nausea too. It leaves then Yngvar to 'fire and forget' his Magic Missile spell

Yngvarsen: Magic Missile damage [1d4+1]=3+1=4 spell retention vs 15 [4d6+2]=18+2=20

-4hp.

Brother Symeon reaches the bleeding dwarf Wrathbone, laying hands upon his wounds and petitioning St Ygg to save his life. The cleric invested into a more blessed Silvered Holy Symbol, which enhances his curative powers,

Brother Symeon: casts Cure Light Wounds (silvered holy symbol +1hp) [1d8+1]=5+1=6

It is enough to see the miraculous enabled a the severe injuries begin to rapidly bind scar-free upon the ravaged torso. Wrathbone rouses on 3/12hp.

Those afflicted by Ghast nausea can actually drag the bodies of the two creatures into the cubby where the other body is stored and once done, the reeking stench effect can be lessened so you can search the area with less personal sickness troubles.

next actions please

Wrathbone

Resuscitated, he picks himself up, thanking his rescuers and berating himself for letting the brute batter him so.

This expedition is certainly attritional, more hp lost, more spells used. A reminder we need vigilance at all times.

"I hope the red door has less dangers behind."

The Ghasts when discovered were eating bones and the carcass of the giant weasel. I will poke through the bone pile in the open coffer in case a few coins, jewels or rings have been hidden inside.
