Straither says "Hello"
Straither says "Hello"
Hello to the Admin team and the player memberships.
I am Mike, going by Straither, living in Derby, UK where I grew up in the late 80's as a young teen watching elder bros' play early editions of D&D and other roleplaying game.
I still have a few favoured lead figured Citadel Miniatures of painted heroes on my shelf and nowadays in free times, open up the kitchen table to transform it for the kids into subterranean labyrinths or castle rooms with poorly drawn 'old school' square mapping and lego bricks to represent dungeon doors. Sure some will recognize them days. Thank the Lord for Dwarven Forge and even virtual TT productions.
A fan old the older Critical Role podcasts and Acquisitions Inc.
Greetings to you all. i will look at the games on offer.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Welcome!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Re: Straither says "Hello"
Thank you for the welcome. I took a few days to read through the forum and some of the many games being played and archived.
My posting rate might not be more than a couple of times a week if that would be an issue for any Dungeon Master recruiting players.
Any campaign recommendations for a newbie? ( I mean new player not new to D&D). I prefer to join as a new character than take over one shelved by another player's absence.

There is this game, 2E D&D. I am in it and it is excellent and posting rate seems about right for you.

Could try Barrowmaze (1st ed D&D), thirty plus other players can't be wrong about a good game.
