Greyhawk, 586 CY, Readying 20, Evening
Treasure Hunting…Demon Door

Having survived betrayals and blood monsters, the companions from Port Torvin continue their search for treasure and answers about this unholy temple.
"Alright. Just answer me yes er no then. He a dark one, evil one, undead one? That'd be three yes er no answers." Roan is persistent, intent on learning more about this creature these priests serve.
The acolyte pauses for a moment and then says, "Yes, yes, no. Not undead."

Meanwhile, Zan produces the silver key he found on the Patriarch's body. And Fahima takes it and easily spots the keyhole...in the pommel of the sword the demon is holding!

She sticks the key into the keyhole, turns it left and the door clicks...and the eyes of the painting flash a deep purple for just a second before the door ticks slightly open.

"Speaking of magic, how is everyone feeling? Depleted, injured?" Cassius asks, keeping an eye out for trouble.
Zan says, "I have a couple of healing spells from the magic front and not much else."
Sai does not respond, as he too continues to be wary of what is happening.
Gormundel says, "I'm nearly depleted in spells, but I'm fine otherwise. However, I can't say the same for Bronn."
It is at about this time that Bronn slides down to the floor and passes out.
"Is he dead?" the acolyte asks, eyes bulging.

Fahima

Fahima will look inside the door without entering while the others deal with Bronn.

The door opens silently to reveal a small vestibule approximately 10x10. This finely carpeted little room contains a long wooden bench and a basin of water. Another door is directly across from you.

Fahima

"It looks like a room where you clean your feet after working outside all day. Interesting."

She moves into the room and searches it.

Roan satisfied with the answers doesn't bother pressing on. As for Bronn "Bigger they are tha harder they fall, as they say." the dwarf crosses his arms "Well ain't tha most ideal place ta rest an recover spells an what not but ain't thinkin we got much of a choice."

Cassius

He curses as Bronn slumps to the ground. "Bastard. He can't even have the decency to not put us out. Give me a hand with him."

Cassius intends to drag the large man into the antechamber and stem the bleeding. "I apparently can't just let him bleed out. Let's get him in there and see if we can use the chamber for a rest."

Sai

Will Bandage Bronn to stop his blood loss. Not sure I should spend a Spell on this Back stabber but might need him in the coming hours. What does everyone think? Heal him or leave him unconsious?

The group drags Bronn into the 10x10 vestibule and pretty soon it gets very crowded in here...in fact, some folks have to stay outside to allow Bronn and those dragging him, into the room.
Of course, there is another door...

Gormundel just shakes his head. "Is he even breathing?"
Lt. Dan says, "I'll have to admit, he's a mean bastard in a fight. Might come in handy once we face...whoever or whatever we are going to face."

Sai makes decision checking Bronn to see if he still breathes. If so he will cast a Cure Light Wound on him to get him mobile again.

Cassius

Having done his part to deal with Bronn, Cassius turns his attention to the next door. "Any tricks to this one? It would be great to have a nice place to rest, and I'm betting that guy saved the nice stuff for himself."

Sai will check Bronn to see if he is dead or still breathing. He will rummage through his pockets with his off hand while others are looking away at Cassius.

While Zan watches their backs, Fahima checks the other door and finds it unlocked and slightly ajar...as if someone either came or went in a hurry. It opens into a larger room with an oddly slanted wall in the south end. The chamber of the Patriarch is richly furnished with fine carpeting and several fine items, such as a pair of silver candelabra. The walls are hung with black curtains all around, except in front of the
small shrine built into the back wall. This shrine houses the candelabra and a small, black statue of the cleric’s demon-god...very similar to the statue in the outside chamber and on the wall leading into this area.

Sai checks on Bronn, finding him barely alive, and administering a healing spell.
Sai healing spell: [2d8+4]=5+4=9
Roan and Cassius and Lt. Dan watch as Sai ministers to the big warrior.
Gormundel walks into the room with Fahima, gasping at the plush surroundings. "This man was a fucking pig...and yet, look at his private chambers!"

I need Cassius and Roan to roll a Wisdom check ;)

Cassius

"If we're going to bring him back to consciousness, we should tie him up again." He nods at Roan. "We watch him while Sai ties him up."
