Apologies, I thought I had replied to the last few posts.

Where exactly is Fahima searching? There's a bed, desk, chest, etc. The typical things one might find in a private room.

The Halfling rogue searches through the bed sheets, chest of clothes underneath, and the desk. The only thing of interest is a ring of three keys found hanging on a nail on the underside of the desk. There are no visible locks in the room.

Reminder of room description:
The chamber of the Patriarch is richly furnished with fine carpeting and several fine items, such as a pair of silver candelabra. The walls are hung with black curtains all around, except in front of the small shrine built into the back wall. This shrine houses the candelabra and a small, black statue of the cleric’s demon-god...very similar to the statue in the outside chamber and on the wall leading into this area.

She takes the keys, "Keys, good score."

Fahima will check behind the curtains/tapestries for secret/concealed doors. "I am not touching that demon statue. Can someone cast detect magic in here?"

Behind the curtain, Fahima easily finds a concealed door behind the tapestry because it is slightly ajar. Opening it reveals a small, musty room of bare stone, covered with cobwebs except at its very center. Three chests - one large (blue) and two very small (red and green) are in the corner of the room.

"Looks like we found a treasury of sorts."

She will find traps on all 3 chests.

"Sorry, no more today."

"Ok. Now those are trapped. Don't do anything unless you can find the trap. We could always just break them." Cassius is sure there are traps somewhere, his past experiences with priests taints his opinions.

His love of treasure does push him to imagine, though. "Three keys and three chests..."

She almost touches the chests...but not before she notices an odd sheen to the locks and around the lids...as if something was smeared on them...something deadly. She is sure they are trapped with some type of poison!

Okay...I have reactions from others but none have said they have moved into the room 28, much less room 29 (the small room with the chests). I'm assuming the others are either in the vestibule or the hallway where Bronn and Lt. Dan and Zan are. No? Please clarify exactly where your character is at the moment. Thanks

"They are all trapped with some sort of coating. Most likely contact poison."

Roan waits for an answer from the acolyte if none comes forth he will go see what Fahima's talking about. "Yah sure? Maybe they're mimics. I heard a joke bout them in a tavern once. A barkeep asked why a group of adventures carried weapons inta his bar. One of em replied ‘Mimics.’ Tha adventurers laughed.
Tha barkeep laughed. Tha table laughed. Tha adventurers killed tha table. Good times." the dwarf smiles at the humor of the joke.

"I think if it was a mimic it would have attacked all ready, but I could be wrong. It just looks like everything is covered in a contact poison to me."

You're right. I've been taking liberties in positioning. My mistake.

Cassius ties up Bronn and then drags him into the main chamber. "Better to rest in there, I think."

"Come on, let's get inside and shut the door."
